The second combo is better; the first one is the Xmas specials, with the neutered drills, 5 year old battery tech, and chargers that take damn near forever.

Agreed, I would definitely spend thee $60 extra for the second deal. But still hard to beat $119 for a drill & impact, Makita, Milwaukee, & Bosch usually have drill only with 1 battery for $99; no impact (or tough case).
