Pavers in the garage

My garage floor is needing replaced soon. Large cracks a little uneven etc... I'm thinking of replacing it this spring and debating putting pavers down after I tear out the old concrete. I have a shop in the back yard for any auto repairs so it's mostly just for parking. Any body ever done this?

My wife's uncle does pavers professionally so I could probably get the pavers at cost and some help/tips from him.

I know the pavers I have put down are something like 2-2.5 inch thick. I would not want to give up that much vertical space if I had many other options.

He would be removing the current concrete though, so it would negate the extra height. Sounds like it could be a interesting concept if done correctly.

One of the coolest garages I've ever had the privilege of being in was a carriage shed behind a Victorian house in Schenectady NY. It was post and beam construction with a brick paver floor. It looked great and really set off the Shelby Mustangs parked there.

Where are you?

(1)enjoying pavers settling continually around my backyard, and (2) spending my childhood sealing and cleaning stains off my father's paver driveway, last thing I would put down in my garage is pavers. But, if they lay the base right, there is no reason they wouldn't work. If it's a little uneven etc I would porcelain tile over instead of ripping out

Lol sounds like you might have some base issues under the pavers in your back yard. Concrete would need as much sealing and cleaning as pavers.
Lol its not a little uneven it's got some pretty big cracks in it, some about an inch height difference.
