serial on a 55" 1994 Snap On roller bottom?

It's probably still stamped and they can be hard to see some times. If its 24" deep, its a 761, 29" deep its a 1001.

Lock cylinders have numbers/letters on them, can I get new keys from Snap On or cheaper to take to locksmith? Would 87 be for 1987?
I need to get one guide for one of the shallower wide drawers and how can I fix the bottom drawer without buying new guides if it moves out on its own?

Yup, made in 1987, and that box is 50" wide.

Year is the two digit number after "USA"

Same as yours. Biggest drawer is ball bearing. This will be temporary til I can get a newer snap on one.

Your box would have the newer serial number decal, not the stamping. I don't know of a way to determine age by the info on the decal. Closes thing I can come up with by the serial number for my box is maybe '02, but don't feel that is right since I bought it brand new in '04. I would say your box is no older then mine as '03 was when the double top drawers started to really come out.

Cheapest place I have found for Y series keys is from a guy on ebay swannyriver or something like that.~$8/pair shipped.

I would not be too quick to sell the KRA 58 top box as the small drawers are handy.
