Sunex Stubby XZN Set

The rail they came on is really nice. I'd like to get more of those. As always from Sunex the sockets themselves feel just fine. Stamped on one side and etched on the other.

If it's an RRH12 that would make it a 7x gun. Is it a -ts version (trigger start)?

It does look to be in very rough shape ( Although it probably works fine). You will def need a new retaining spring, of which you will have to source from an Atlas copco dealer as they don't really deal with the public.

The other thing it looks as if it's missing both the fore grip tube which covers the barrel and the pistol grip cover/grip. Happy hammering :lol_hitti

If you don't mind me asking what did you pay as ( I own the same gun )

Okay so it's a 7x. Yes, it's a trigger start. It works just fine. Messed around in the garage with it quite a bit this weekend. I could care less about those two I guess. Seems to be fine without it. I paid 60 dollars. Made a best offer on it and the guy accepted. I don't feel it was a bad deal.

$60. That's a very good deal. I paid closer to 200ish for mine In much better shape tho...

I would suggest getting the front guard it kinda protects you forward hand and keeps the front section tied together. It's a plastic tube I can't imagine it being more than 20 bucks

Enjoy it. It's a monster. Just don't over oil it they have a bad tendency of Sticking.

Thanks Fink. Seems like a most so far from what I've seen. I'm going to keep a eye out for another one in better shape.

Keeping the TDI?

I need to do the brakes as soon as it warms up. Saw these for a reasonable price and grabbed them so I can do the whole thing with my M12 3/8" Fuel Impact.

I'm still hoping that maybe as part of the buyback they'll offer an incentive on a new one.

Was just at Lowes earlier today and didn't get the chance to look at these. Think I'll run by there tomorrow and check them out. Wouldn't mind the $20 set I saw online.

I loved em so much I went to buy one or two and didnt see them. What is the point of the nut between the shaft and handle? I have a small Snap-On thatis like that and it really resembles these blue one you posted. Hard, contoured handle, round shank and a nut for what could be a place to put a wrench-but why?

I got this set....no marking I could find indicating CoO, but had to trust the key card that said US from foreign and domestic materials. They arent as pretty as your's but they are electrician, so maybe I can find one like those one day......not that any of us need more screwdrivers.

The hex-bolster is used to turn the screwdriver with a wrench when you really need some extra torque on the fastener and don't have a socket bit driver, or there's no room for a socket bit driver. It comes in handy from time to time.

Nice packaging job there Apex

Looks used and beat up too! Sweet!

I took advantage of the %50 off code on apextoolgroups store and got me a 1/2" drive 88 tooth flex head. I'm not too upset. I will have scratched it up worse than that in a few weeks.

Went by today, there were a few of each on the shelf for around a buck off. Also was a 5 pack of China made ones that were made to look just like them.

I was temped to grab them, but just can't justify more screwdrivers at the moment.:lol_hitti

I also just saw them at the Lowes near me. I just can't justify more screwdrivers. Besides I really like my Snap On Instincts.

What do you use those on? Suspension bushings? I've always wondered how effective hitting on rubber could be, last i replaced a control arm bushing i had to use a ball joint press it was so hard..

I have used those to drive new bushings (metal) when rebuilding transmissions.

Thanks. So it seems you can lay into it with one arm using your body weight, and with the other, use a wrench to turn it.

Nice idea! It may make it more stable (or rigid) as well, so less flexing like a carbon fiber bicycle compared to a 'loose' steel.....aka, torsional rigidity.

Also, maybe a squared shank screwdriver, like some slotted WF Craftsmans would allow for the same benefit.

I jumped on the bandwagon. :dunno:

IMG_9534cropampsize_zpszagy0jrd.jpg~original

I bought a set yesterday. They did not have sets on the clearance rack, just singles. I got every size and stubbys too. 9 screwdrivers. Priced from $3.00 to $7.00 each. They are made by Great Neck Saw in the USA for Lowes. Use domestic and imported materials. They are very comfortable for large hands and pretty good quality. Not replacing my Williams, just another set that feels good.

I remember coming across the tamperproof type. I'll have to search my bookmarks and update you on that. Amazon had great pricing on these sets (VIM) last year (somewhere around the $25-$35 mark with Prime Shipping). Some of the reviews on Capri left me unsettled.

Also check out the OTC Super Short XZN: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5494109&postcount=30654

Yeah, wish I got them over the Capri. They look much nicer.

Edit: Looks like the VIM aren't tamperproof? That's not good if you want to change your ****** oil on some cars.

What the heck man!?!

That's an awesome price on that cart.

Congratulations! (But I hope it wasn't stolen!)
I seem to always get good deals on those cornwells lol. I have the lock for it so it ain't stolen, and this makes box #3, the blue one next to it is a little bit more beat up and scratched, I got that one for 250 and I thought I got a screaming deal on it

I liked the Kobalts at Lowe's but after adding up the sale prices to make up a set it's much higher than going with another nice set of SK drivers, but that's just me.

They are more than sharp enough for speedy progress and just the right size to fit in the hand nicely. They flex exactly the right amount.

Good grief man, you are killin' it! Congratulations!

There's a blue Cornwell cart identical to yours, for sale down here in North Carolina.

It's a tad bit rougher and h's selling it for $700.

I'll wait for now.
