I just need to order the 3/8 anvil for my FAR72C, because I sheared the anvil off today doing something stupid that I should have used my 1/2 gun for.

The rest of the ratchet is just fine so I only need that part, but

I don't see any listing at all in the air ratchet category on the website. Did they stop making these ratchets? I bought it online no more than 2 years ago.

Are the anvils interchangeable for a different air ratchet that they sell?

Thanks

I believe the FAR72 and FAR7200 have been superceded/replaced by PTR72. Look under FAR7000 and search for parts. I think its like $80.

You'll need a far7200-301r, happy ordering!
Thanks, I see the listing. Described as drive body. Is that more than just the anvil? What parts exactly are in that?

That part is for sure compatible with my 72c?

Do I need any special tools to R&R?

At this price I could probably pay $40 more and have it completely overhauled flat rate but that would take a lot more time and everything else in the ratchet is just fine... Probably better off if I just buy the drive body.

I appreciate your help.

It's just the anvil portion. You push out the roll pin, slide the assembly out, remove and replace onto the new anvil and reassemble. Takes about 5 minutes to swap it.

You'll need to squeeze the head in a vise with a little easily homemade fixture pressing it together to get that head pin out (it'll only come out one direction, it has grooves to keep it from going the wrong way). Also, pay attention to the order and direction the parts come out, if you put things together wrong the tool won't work properly. Also, there's a couple springs under the pawls, don't lose them. Happy repairing!
