That's genuine SK. I have a NOS 3/8" drive socket set with that ratchet. It's a cool collector item. That ratchet has coarse teeth and a rough action. I wouldn't recommend it as a user.

I love those round head ratchets. Especially since most garage sale sellers seem to associate round head with those cheap dollar store ratchets and price them accordingly. I've got 5 or so 1/2" drive S-K's and never paid more than a few bucks each:evil:

It was called the Peg Pack line of SK tools. It was only really fast moving tools and was priced lower than standard line of professional tool line to be sold in auto parts stores and such. It was cheaper cost tool right about when imports flooded the retail auto stores and this was a line to help keep business to SK but only lasted a few years.

very interesting :thumbup::thumbup: I just happened to find that nos example on a SK board above a hardware/automotive type store closing its doors after 50 some years in business.

I have an S-K 3/8" and an Un-marked (probably Wright) 1/4" franky rat. I don't use them, but wouldn't sell them, either. Just too cool not to have.
