New Britain 3/8" flex head at a second hand store for like $4.50. Also got the short SK for $3.00, and three regular 3/8" SK ratchets for $3.00 each.

Got a set of three Easco ratchets, the 1/4" drive came out of service so it's not in the pic. Actively looking for a rebuild kit if anyone has one.

Channellock 480s for like $40ish. Boa Constrictor strap wrench off Amazon, like it a lot.

$20 Makita grinder off Craiglist, runs like a champ. $35 Makita corded recip off Craigslist, also runs like a champ.

Probably saved $140 or so by going used on eBay for the Makita cordless recip and impact wrench.

Head lamp and flashlight, gift from my brother. Also, 100% endorsing the cheapo HF LED lights, but only if you have the free coupon.

Really liking these tape measures from Tajima tools so far. Picked it up after throwing a ************* Komelon in the trash after about a week. Plan on getting the 25 ft or 30 ft real soon, not sure which size yet. Love the white tape. We'll see how well it holds up in due time.

Nice set of wrenches, they aren't the WrightGrip but I think they will do me good for a while until I can find a nice set of used Snap On Flank Drive Plus.

Thanks, no not at all. My tool acquisition started because I needed a set of ratchets. And this forum. I had a pretty full set of Kobalt I acquired over a few years picking things up on sale. And now have upgraded pretty much all tools to gear wrench. I work on ATVs, mowers, and odd jobs around the house.

A dude 20 miles from my house had an ad on Ebay "oxy acetylene welding wire"
My trained eye immediately saw that they were actually Tig welding rods, the brand is Bohler, we have exactly the same stuff at work.....
I bought the entire lot
In that square box in the back is normally 25kg (55lbs), It was almost full, I guess there is still 20kg (45lbs) left.
The round tubes are 5kg (11lbs) most of them are almost full.

There is even some Incoloy rod in there (ER NiCr3) that stuff is expensive
But most of it are ER70S-3 Carbon Steel rods, and some tubes ER 80S-G, ER80S-B6 and ER80S-B8

I payed $150 for the lot.

I have a parts store one like that. I thinks its a Slime; it came with a few cores, caps. The finish doesnt look as nice as that Milton....Is it US?

Anyway, what does it do besides removing valve cores?

Stopped at my local Lowes this afternoon to peruse the tool section for any clearance items. Found and bought this 3/4 drive Kobalt SAE set for $49, marked down from $169. Import of course but they seem to be pretty decent. At my current rate of using 3/4" drive, probably get used 3-4 times before I die.

I have a no-name 3/4 drive import set that I bought probably 20 years ago. I use it several times a year. I used it just yesterday to change a hitch ball. I used it about a month ago to brutalize some rusty leaf spring shackle bolts. You'll find yourself reaching for it now that it's around.

The Milton S-445 4-in-1 is used for:
1) valve removal/installation
2) a die for repairing the outside threads
3) a tapering tap
4) non-tapering tap for cleaning or cutting the inside threads.

The Motion Pro tool works better for bike rims since it doesn't get caught up on the spokes.

Well, my light finally got here. I'm thoroughly disgusted with the seller though, I have never seen such an abysmal packing job in my entire life. He put the light's box inside a box close to 10 times too big to ship it, and absolutely nothing else. The box was mangled horribly, since there was nothing to support it when it got tossed around by people and machines, and I truly have no idea how the light managed to not get destroyed, as there's no padding inside the box it came in. Guess that's about as real a testament to its ruggedness as you'll ever get.

He didn't even attempt to get a box closer to a proper size, and didn't even attempt to put any newspaper, bubble wrap, plastic bags, packing peanuts, or anything inside the box along with the light.

Like I said, the worst packing job I've ever seen. So steamed, but at least the light got here and seems to be okay.

reminds me of a fuel pressure regulator I bought from rock auto. Big *** box with no padding inside amazing the thing worked when it got to my house.

That's what happens when you have an old fart for a cat.

He's 20 this year, and I'm surprised he's still doing as well as he is. I've seen cats that are only 16-17 that are having all sorts of medical problems and are always pissy and mean and don't like to be touched. He still acts like he's 10. Guess I just got lucky with him.
