I need a 3/8" Jacobs drill chuck but do not know which one to get. It is going on a 3/8"-24 threaded shaft. I want USA. I do not know which model to get or what the differences are: 2BA3/8, 41BA3/8 or U4G61. Thanks!

I bought a Jacobs a few years ago and surprised it was Chinese. Oh well, next time I'll search elsewhere. They are part of the apex syndicate If I recall.

What is the difference between a Jacobs 2BA3/8 and 41BA3/8? How about an older NOS Black and Decker chuck? The reason I ask is because I want to put it on a 1970's Black and Decker drill that I got going last week. The original 3/8" chuck broke in the 1970's and my father put a 1/4" on. I was thinking to go back to what was original but if that chuck isn't good choice, go to a USA Jacobs.
