Can you identify this Snap On box?

I am looking to get a roll away to replace my utility cart at work. I found this Snap On box on Craigslist. Can anyone tell me what it is, how old it might be, and if it has modern roller bearing drawers? Thanks

I'm not a Snap-on guru, but that looks like a KR 560 , probably from the early-mid 80s before I was born

I agree KR 560 from mid 80's. That's not a bad price if its not all dented and scratched up, rust, etc. Maybe shoot him an offer $500-600 and see what happens. I'd buy it if it was in my area.

I have 1 Snap On box from the 70's probably, and two Mac boxes from the 80's-early 90's that I bought within the past year or two and they are solid. In my opinion that's the way to go. Buy used. Those older boxes will do anything a brand new $10,000 box will do, except charge your iphone.

Nice. I have the exact same box, same year. Is the big drawer on the bottom right the only ball bearing drawer?

lol... yes the big drawer on the bottom right is the only ball bearing drawer. I just bought those 2 new slides (you can see if you look real hard in the pic) but im also putting in all new friction slides as well. but they are being very difficult to remove any suggestions? btw very nice box thats what im shooting for!!

I have a kr560, I believe kr560b and all of the drawers have roller guides.

I have a kr660 that looks identical to it and its all roller bearing drawers,so you

If I remember right, 560's were friction slides with the bottom drawers only having ball bearing slides and 660's were all ball bearing slides.

KR560 and $800 isn't too bad, but I would offer $600 (I would also pay $800 if he don't go for it, that's a lot of storage).

Looking at it a second time, I believe it has the roller bearings. Friction bearing models usually did not have the chrome strip on the drawer handles. That box is in rough shape, I take back what I said, Don't pay more than $650.00 unless you want to take the time to restore it.

Is it just me or is that box in a body shop?

If it is a body shop be sure to check to see how much wear the slides have. All that dust is not good for a tool box, and it tends to get into places you didn't even know existed.

The 560 and 660 both have the chrome on the drawers.
Unless the seller tells the op what the model stamp on the back says
He's going to have to look at it in person to see about roller slides.
