It is stamped Sanitary mould Co German silver on it. I didn't know it had this stamp on it when I bought it and was happy to see something when I looked at it tonight. I did a google search and Ebay search on Sanitary Mould Co. and came up with nothing. I was at an estate sale with a nice packed tool area in the basement, I picked this up and put it down a few times not knowing WTF it was. I finally just grabbed it and it was only $1 so no big loss. Sorry for the crappy indoor pictures.
Thanks for any info.

It pushes through the rectangular end and stops when flush.

So it seems very possible it is MADE of "German Silver" I would assume till I learned different.

No notable intrinsic $ value.

But based on the above auction info, DANG I'd be listing it on Ebay, being careful of wording chosen for listing title, for a longest time period, no reserve, and high quality photos of ALL sides (which you did not show) , and hope for the best.

Watcha gonna use it for otherwise, a Roach squarsher ?? Marc

And don't clean or shine it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absofrickinlutely leave as is.

It "pushes through" ??

Show show more photos, not just 4 views of the same topside just from differing angles.

You did not even have any photos of the underside or end, let alone if it "actuates" in any way.

Hey, I don't care other then trying to help getn $ in your pocket as if it were mine.

Just a guess - German silver in that era was to keep it from getting rusty, especially considering it was for food prep.

If made today, I would think would be Stainless Steel. Marc

I'm thinking they would plunge it into ice cream, twist a bit and pull it out, carve excess off of edges w a knife, dip in hot water for a sec, and push out the ice cream rectangle.

Just my guess. Marc

From your photos in the original post, it just looks like a solid block of metal, like an odd rectangular head hammer.

I'm only getting my "pushing" idea above from your post # 3.

Show if different than solid chunk of metal.

This kind of thing Finding for $1 and selling for ??? ) is very exciting for me, does not matter that it's not mine the way I see it. Marc

I've bought and sold alot in my younger years, including about 4 different times old antique streetlights from small towns at scrap value, and recently an Emmert "Pattermakers" vise, bought on Craigslist for $40, sold crated to be shipped for $1400.

The vise was probably the best / simplest per $ profit.

Then there were these old bad condition horns off of a Train.

Bought for like $60, sold for like $400.

Northfield rolling tablesaw, bought for like $800 at local auction, sold for like $3800.

SCMI MiniMax small panel saw, doubled my $ to around 3k.

But just the fun of it is even (kinda) better than the $.. Marc

Gotta love the guys that keep making wild guesses even after an item has been properly identified. :lol_hitti

Ya, funny ****.

Most people don't read and/ or communicate properly at all.

I'll send an email with like 3 tech questions clearly organized, and I'm lucky if they answer one of them.

NO mention of the others.

Really silly, but that's how it is. Marc
