Can't really see properly but is the dynamic jaw higher than the static one?
Maybe from a different vice?
The only Parkinsons I own is a woodwork vice so I'm not sure what I'm looking for as far as differences go.
What is it then.
The first thing that is unusual is that the Model J No 38 is one of the Steel vises made by Parkinsons so it should have Samsonia cast into it. This one is evidently from before Parkinson came up with the Samsonia brand name.
The second thing is that all Parkinson/Samsonia quick release vises that have the single piece static jaw have jaws inserts bolted through the jaw not screwed into the casting like these.
This style must have only been produced for a short while.
