I picked up a Cman Block Grinder recently and the old lady threw these in with it, she said she thought they were for it.

I don't recognize them and don't see how they could work with it so i'm just checking with you guys before I chuck them. I cant think of a use for them around my garage at the moment.

The only markings on them are F.B.1-A. and at the top one says 2 and the other says 3. I cant find anything on google.

Not for a block grinder. I don't know if they're even Craftsman. :dunno:
They look like adjustable motor mounts to me, for when you're using one motor for multiple machines. Move the motor to a different rack to take up slack when switching the belt to another machine. But that's just a WAG.

Don't pitch then as those could be . . "Just The Thing" . . that someone needs !!

Post up in Classified for FREE if they'll cover shipping.

Those look well made and worth keeping / put back into use.

Vette: no idea. i'm sure you can find some use for them even if not designed for that. not sure but maybe they would hold the glass shields on your block grinder??

Look at page 48 of this 1950's Sears catalog http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=2122 , letter E "Floating Motor Rails". It could be a version of this. :dunno:

They look like the adjustable clamp blocks we have on a large DoAll Band Saw.

The band saw has automatic hydraulic clamps moved by cylinders that have about a 3" stroke. There are arms coming off the back side of the clamps that can be positioned into different grooves on the clamp blocks so to allow the saw to clamp different sizes of material that are outside the stroke range of the clamping system hydraulic cylinders .
