Hello. Internet searches led me here with some similar questions. All the videos and descriptions I'm seeing the drawers look different than what I have.

I've inherited what I believe is a KR series box (70th Anniversary) so from 1990ish. I'm going to need to move this thing long distance so drawer removal is going to have to happen. They have some tabs that hook into the drawers on each side. Do these need to just be pryed out and pull the drawer? Thanks in advance.

Take an old hacksaw blade and just before it hits the stops slip it between the rail and the stop then pull the drawer out.

They have some tabs that hook into the drawers on each side.

Ball bearing slides right? If so, those tabs are called "bayonets" and they hook into the square slots in the drawers and in the square slots of the inside box wall. The rear bayonets face forward to catch the drawer as you push the drawer in towards the rear of the box. The forward bayonets face upward to catch the drawer as you lower drawer down.

To remove the drawer from the slides:

1. Remove any sheet metal screws going through the drawer and into the slides.

2. Extend the drawer fully out.

3. Push down on the left front of the slide with your thumb as you pull the left front of the drawer up.

4. Push down on the right front of the slide with your thumb as you pull the right front of the drawer up.

5. With the drawer disconnected from the forward bayonets, push the left slide rearward with your thumb as you pull the drawer foward.

6. With the drawer disconnected from the forward bayonets, push the right slide rearward with your thumb as you pull the drawer foward.

7. Lift the drawer from the slides.

8. To reinstall the drawers, get your rear bayonets hooked in first and then hook in your front bayonets.

Yes Wamsutta! That description is accurate. Could not find that style or directions anywhere on the interwebs.

Thank you!
