Not a lot to go on. Can you guys tell what kind of box this is? Guy says it was grandpa's. Full of tools. Don't know what kind or anything.

I have one that's fairly similar that I think we determined was Corny. But, this one has some different features. Regardless, it's a very cool box. With tools if he's at $100 or less I'd jump on it.

I had a box like that many years ago I bought second hand from the local Snap on dealer. It was a trade in. I am not real sure but I seem to remember it being a Herbrand.

The other pics **** but I can see old ratchets, vice grips, sockets, punches/chisels and a ton of end wrenches. It's overflowing and he's at 150.00. May go see them if he ever calls me back. It's all stuff I have but can never have too many tools...

Okay. Here it is... Just maybe, might possibly have been filled all the tools on the table. :bounce: Some badass wrenches and pliers in there. Plomb, Buffalo, Proto, Ford, Channel Locks, and a bunch of others I've never heard of. 98% made in USA. This dude was a punch fanatic, too, he must've beat the hell out of stuff! I'll post up all that when I get it sorted. I'm going to keep what I need/want and get rid of the rest so if you see anything you want, let me know. I guess I'll get it on the classifieds at some point but I will keep a lot.

In the meantime, ANY ideas on the box? There is not a marking on it. Of course, it looks like it was brush painted twice, maybe three times. It's solid though. Can't decide what to do with it and all these tools.

I have a top box with the same handles. What are your plans for all the tools? Nothing wrong with having 4-10 of everything. :)

I sorted them all out tonight. Pulled what I needed or wanted badly, threw all the non-USA wrenches in with the gen-pop in my box. There are quite a few in the pics on the other post I will keep. That New Britain bar is awesome and there's a little Ford wrench (Ford guy I am) as well as several wrenches, etc to keep. There's a bucket of punches I didn't take pics of, can always use those.

I can't post on classifieds here so I'm not sure what I'll do with all of them after I finish the hoarding.

I am 99% sure it's a Cornwell. There are no markings anywhere but some interwebs research lead me to believe you're right, sir.

They are Petersens. AND I am such an idiot. I saoked them in Evaporust, cleaned up and rinsed off, left 2 pairs on the hood of my truck, drove off, came home, realized what I'd done and of course, they are gone...What a f^%%$ing idiot.:withstupi
