Greetings, new member and really wanted input regarding Racedeck vs GarageTrac...I do have epoxy in the main garage, but this is for my 4th single garage. I've already designed it in a "racing" theme so I am looking to add checkered black and red design to the floor. Is the $3.69 Racedeck worth it over the $2.15 GarageTrac?
The square footage is 20 X 10'9".
Thanks in advance

Looking at your car , I presume it's your car . Spend the money and get the racedeck .

Agreed, seems silly to debate over a "few bucks" but I was just curious to see if there was a noticeable difference between RD vs GT tiles.
I did peruse some old threads and there didn't seem to be a huge difference in quality between the two.

I am one of those who thinks that if there a big price differance , there something wrong.

Nice garage and car too.

Garage Journal members usually get a discount with Race Deck and their sales people will tell you if you mention the site.

That being said, I have recently looked at several floors and for the price point mentioned above, you should also look into SwissTrax. While I was impressed with the RaceDeck, the clacking when walking on it seemed to bother me. I got some samples of SwissTrax RibTrax and really like it. It's thicker and has less sound when walking on it.

That was the only point that swayed me from RaceDeck. One other thing to note, was that I looked at RD's coin tile floor. Not sure their ribbed version flooring would have made noise.

My take on this is it is a show garage. If this was my garage, and my car :) I would do the RaceDeck TuffShield. Otherwise, simple RaceDeck. http://www.garageflooringllc.com/racedeck/

The clicking/ clacking sound is what's bothered me , I would think they could put a thin layer of hard rubber on the bottom or something of that nature to eliminate that issue

I asked for tile from both manufacturers and the ribtrax made virtually no noise. They say that you can't see the floor between the ribs but it's easier to see on the darker tiles. I got black and grey and the grey hid the floor underneath for me.

Neither the Ribtrax product, RaceDeck Flow THrough product not TrueLock HD Ribbed product tend to have an issue with noise because they are an open tile. Solid tiles can eliminate that issue with the use of landscape fabric

First post here. Great car OP. I recently inquired about Racedeck from them and mentioned this site and about a week later a package arrived with a color sample I was interested in and a letter saying if there was anything they could do, to call them. No quote or nothing? Is this normal?

I just found this thread and realize it is about 2 months old. I have RaceDeck FreeFlow on my garage floor. Laid it about a year and a half ago. Love it. No complaints. This clicking and clacking noise that is addressed in many threads is nearly non-existent with mine. I used nothing under the tiles. Bare concrete floor that was scrubbed beforehand. Could the clicking noise be due to the concrete's surface finish having small "waves" in it? Some floors are bound to be smoother than others. I have some spots that click louder than others and some don't at all. Only the important half of the garage is shown in my avatar. Her side is likewise tiled. CJDave.

I just ordered Racedeck free flow for $2.79 and free shipping. For members of garage journal. However I was told if the order placed in the morning it will be shipped out the same day! My order has not been shipped as of today! I placed it on Monday! I was told they are back ordered on black and alloy after I inqured about my shipping confirmation! I like swisstrax however it wouldn't work in my application due the fact I have recessed wall and the third bay sits back 24 inches. I would had to cut the first row of tiles to make it work.
