I ordered 2 to be picked up tonight! Finally i will get the cabinet situation squared away. I had $20 in surprise points as well. So I ordered 2 Craftsman t-shirts for $9.99 each.

are you afraid of spiders? lol
at least the spiders will keep other bugs out of your box

Yes, but that's not the problem. The problem is every time I go into my garage knocking spider webs off of everything. They run them between every thing and the ground and wall to wall and all over everything. I keep a spider stick outside the garage door so I can still gain entry. I lift the door up, and spider stick the door because webs fall all off the back of the door into the opening. Then I spider stick my floor jack because they run webs from the handle on it over to my table saw accross the only aisle into the garage and to my miter saw station. Then I can get to the toolbox, I have to spider stick the front down because there are webs running up and down all the handles. I'm so happy to finally have a tool chest though because at least they aren't webbing up my individual tools.

A few other people from Central Illinois said they were having similar problems this year. I'm hoping once it gets cold enough maybe they'll die off or go dormant and I can just go out to the garage without the rigamarole.

Do these Gladiators close up tight enough to keep spiders out?

I have 6 Gladiator 30" wall cabinets lined up on one garage wall and use small business card size magnets to cover up any holes on the end-cabinets. Used painter's tape on any holes in the back of the wall cabinets before hanging them. No spiders in the wall cabinets for the past 5 years.

FYi: the Gladiator finish can be dulled by bug spray so don't even think about it.....

Will they price match this if I bought like 4 of them in the last month??

Their policy says 30 days:

http://www.sears.com/en_us/customer-service/policies/price-match-policy.html

Price Protection Policy

Buy with confidence from Sears. If an item you have purchased from Sears goes on sale for a lower price within 30 days of your purchase, Sears will refund the difference. All Price Match rules and exclusions apply including no Price Protection adjustments between Thanksgiving Day and the Wednesday after Thanksgiving. Sears will not offer a price adjustment on items that include individual Shop Your Way bonus or extra point offers.

To claim a Price Protection Policy adjustment, go to your original Sears store where the purchase was made with your receipt. If your purchase was made on Sears.com, please fill out a Price Protection form. You will be given a refund for the difference of the original selling price and the current advertised/reduced price. Apparel clearance merchandise and conditional Online Only Special Offers do not qualify for Price Protection Policy adjustments.

Between these and the NewAge Pro Series wall cabinets...which would y'all go with?

Logic tells me that the Gladiator will always be around if I need more, but the Pro Series would be harder to find (on sale, at least).

From a minimalist perspective, the NewAge looks better. At 18 gauge, is it sturdier?

Anyone have an additional code to make them any cheaper?

Sears has changed these special deals now to a "Hot Buy" type classification I guess. This means no coupons allowed from Sears itself. Others have had luck with Discover's 10% cashback option if using a Discover Card I hear. eBates.com gives you another 3% currently.

On a side note I would still buy these even without coupons...they are a great cabinet for $100. I have 4 in my garage and seriously thinking about getting another 2 with this deal!!

HOT BUYS are special limited time offers priced too low to be used in conjunction with other offers or promotions.

Have you checked your account for any surprise points?

Never seen a New Age in person but aren't they listed as being a bit deeper than the Gladiators?

I have several of the welded Gladiator wall cabinets from Sears and the shallow depth and slightly flimsy shelves are what I don't like about them. I'd prefer they were 2" shorter and narrower yet deeper like the New Age.

I have some surprise points but tax kills it for me.

Go through a cashback site like eBates. They're currently offering 3%, but occasional do 6%. Topcashback might be higher. Both will send the money to your Paypal or as a check, but not instantly.

You can usually use coupons that give you points back, but $ off coupons don't work on hot buys.

NewAge Pro are 2" deeper and have 100lb capacity per shelf as opposed to Gladiator's 50lbs per shelf. I think the Pro series are better cabinets. The Gladiators probably compare better to the other (lessor) lines of NewAge cabinets.

That said, this Pro line is being discontinued so buy what you need while you can, or stay w/ Gladiator and have a better chance of matching in the future.
