Can anyone tell me if Tekton makes these. The model # has 1 extra number compared to what I ordered. Ordered them from Sears, where supposed to be Tekton.
Haven't had a chance to use them yet. But after fighting heater hoses over the weekend with a regular set of pliers I figured I would buy the proper tool. I don't see me using them very much hence why I went with the Pittsburg brand.

At the Do It Best Hardware store I work at we have a whole bargain bin full of tools with that packaging. When they arrive in a big box the box says tekton on the side. But I don't think any of the tools says tekton. So it probably is, but maybe a cheaper version.

Tekton doesn't make anything as far as I know. They're just a "marketing brand", as in they resell goods from other manufacturers. Not unlike Craftsman, Blue-Point, etc.

I'll probably give them a shot. I got them to go into a cart for interior work in cars so not really high torque applications. Just a little upset with Sears for advertising them as Tekton. And charging me $7.25 to ship $6 sockets. Whenever I try to pull them back up on the Sears site they are no longer there. Just a really shady experience.

Generic unbranded ebay cheap stuff. In fairness though it does exactly what it says on the tin, can't find anything wrong with it.I'll be taking it to work tomorrow so it's gonna get put through its paces.

Electrical connector removal. Depress lock tab and pull. I've used hose grip pliers for the same thing but figured i'd try a purpose made tool. You practically destroy some of those connectors taking them apart with our North East road spray.

New load of Nichelson files. Came boxed pretty shitly:
Interestingly the larger files are COO Mexico (thought they were China now) but the little needle files are China;
Using an Ernst screwdriver rack to organise them in my box;
Thread files;
Needle files;
And my new impact turned up;

Do you think you could do a review of the KTC hose clamp pliers? Where did you get them? Ive been debating on picking those up.
For the needle files, I would have probably gone with Gyros (basically the same thing, just re-branded, and Made in China). I wouldn't be surprised if they're coming from the same source. Less than $10 at Sears online the other day. Would have used points to go along with that as well.

Whoah, I need those hose clip pliers. I hate working around those hose clips and trying to pinch and slide them with normal needle nose pliers. Also I don't even know what those blue ones are for but I want them to open and close towards my four year old roommates and tell them the bug is "going to get them!"

Fed has it, all from Franks Tools. A version of the hose clamp pliers in locking plier form has been around for years but im a sucker for quality stuff. This is the locking plier (Taiwan coo I think)

Not sure if I've seen these at Sears but they have this brand at the Sears outlet on little standalone racks with various cheap tools. I looked them up real quick, they are under the MIT umbrella but I'd hesitate to call them Tekton just because they are sold by the same company. Definitely shady on the part of Sears. Kinda like ordering Snap On and getting blue point stuff. Its under the same umbrella but shouldn't be marketed as the same brand.
Wawaweewa that stuff's spendy! Maybe some good wishlist items for future holidays. Very cool to look at though.

I'm pretty sure MAC was also selling those several years ago with their name on it.
The Merry de-coupling tool is my most frequently used pair of pliers. The double-X hose grip pliers come out every so often for the same use. I really wish Merry comes out with a longer version. BTW, there's also a KTC rebranded version as well with two more different claw profiles.

i bought the Lisle version of those exhaust hanger pliers last year and I am kicking myself for not ponying up the $20 or so for them years ago!
I don't do a lot of exhaust work, but if those pliers work as expected and I used them only once, it would have been money well spent.

a load of Staubli male connectors
All for the sum of 16 euro's brand spanking new. That's about 800 euro's shop value right there

Just to clear up any confusion, TEKTON and WorkShop are two distinct brands from Michigan Industrial Tools.

Akro Mills is good stuff. Menard's sells them on the shelf. I didn't know that until after I bought the HF version and it *****. I don't recommend the HF upright storage bin.
