So I have about 800 sq ft to cover in my shop, and I want color. There will only be foot traffic in this area. I like epoxy but it's expensive. I am thinking of an acid stain to gain the color and then coating with clear TLPPC to seal and protect the floor. I solely used the clear TLPPC on the larger shop portion with good results. I won't even need to touch a roller/brush since both the stain and TLPPC can be sprayed on with a garden sprayer...
Anyone done this? Pictures? Does the stain inhibit the TLPPC from soaking in?

The stain will not inhibit the sealer. If fact, the sealer should still soak in and make the color pop. I would double check with Justin however as I haven't seen this type of urethane sealer used in this fashion before.

You can do this but you MUST make sure the acid stain is neutralized first

The best is to use osmo polyx oil on your floors. They provide complete protection from dust and sun light as well as maintain the sheen and hue of wooden floors.
