That's not right.

So you want to be that way, uh. I'll bring my battery box down and crush that wimpy chain. :lol_hitti

You know Shorty you really should give Bob Heine a call. Bob is that much of a bad *** he could probably wrap that chain around his neck and lift it out for you.

I also have a special battery Jack.

No blood allowed on the concrete.

Wait until I get electric hoist up, I think it will lift a battery box along as we can get a sling under it

I think only way that battery is gonna to do anything is if acid leaks out and cuts the chain.

All done he says.
Not buying any more tool boxes he says.
No more room he says.

Well what happens when you get offered a nice heavy duty Lyon 5 drawer tool cabinet for free!!! I have said all the same things and have no room in the garage for it but, did it end up in the back of my truck. You bet it did!

Never say never man cause something will come along to make you eat those words.

Great! I see another ER visit in your future. LOL!

Just an FYI there's poor cell service at CB house. So might want to call paramedics advance. LOL

Cheap shot Gerard - but I must admit, it's funny.

Good advice there RM. :)

LMAO, OK I'll rephrase. I'm not buying anymore for the Craftsman wall.

To all, I'll be honest I have seen few nice craftsman box come up on CL while I was looking tonight. Even saw a 3 box stack with tools in great condition for $350. Plus it had the rare intermediate chest.

Saw this for 50
4d22f06359aff094c4239069af92f996.jpg

Freaking drooling over this for $100 In CB area. It's a Vulcan but it's identical to a Mac box. I always loved Mac boxes.
d01f5925f9fe5dd3e09f1d3a760dca44.jpg

I don't have room for any of them. I know the feeling of getting something without even knowing where the hell im going to put it. Just like the new mobile table. I brought it home not knowing where I would put it. Actually I bought the other 6 drawer chest not knowing where or what I would do it but I can use it for something. If anything it can sit on top of my 3 drawer file cabinet. Well once I clean it off.

df9d3b019cc1d4da410e05bab3ca97db.jpg

I'm very happy with the craftsman wall. I got all the pieces I wanted and couldn't be happier. Now if I found another one of these I would buy it.

Besides that I'm sticking to the plan.

OK, then - I'm starting it. If it's good enough for Thomas to get his freckle fried for a mis-aligned switch plate, then I think Gerard can put up with some niggling over an incorrectly placed bucket; or 3. :lol_hitti :willy_nil :dunno:

Just a day or two ago you said now new tool boxes and now you've admitted to all of us if you found another of those two drawer carry boxes you'd buy it. Hmmm I sense some weakness in your commitment to stop buying Craftsman tool boxes. LOL

Thank you jb, I was going to comment the same. In the same breath almost he says no more Craftsman and then proceeds to talk himself into hunting for more. Don't get me wrong Gerard, I salute you and say, go forth and shop victoriously!
But you're telling all us tool junkies that you are not a fellow tool junkie.

I got an idea. Move out some of those pails and tubs and start the Annex Wall of Craftsman!

Rmalkow, instead of the annex craftsman wall, and he's admitted to drooling over the old Mac boxes ( he was eyeballing mine to death, I think he was caressing it too, he claims to of been putting a screwdriver back, but 10 times?) , maybe a Vintage Mac box wall?

Well, I do have 3 3 drawer bottom rollers and ONLY 2 2 drawer carry boxes.

d9a4a08b816b32119a4ddaed9a09fe86.jpg

That middle carry box isn't going to be there I have a newer better carry box I was going to put in its location. If I happen to come across one I'll buy it. A small carry box is easy to store and swap out unlike a bigger chest or bottom roller. My father came over one day and was looking for to carry boxes so I gave him back the rally box and and let him take the Craftsman 526 machinist box. I made some room in far as carry boxes. They didn't match anything else or have intend use for them.

My name is Gerard and I'm a tool box junkie. LOL I will always be a tool junkie without enough space to collect all that I want.

I already thought about moving the Craftsman wall to the opposite wall where I have all the bins. It was deemed not effective because I was only going to gain very small amount of room. Basically, I would be able to turn that nine drawer cabinet forward instead of sideways. I really wouldn't say I never plan buying another tool box I'm just waiting for the heat to die down with the wife. Some may think I give my wife a lot of grief and I do I'll be living in this house 10 years in July for 10 solid years I've been working on this damn garage. And sometimes I can't blame her for getting mad sometimes because for all those years my garage came before everything else. It came before her The projects in the house. I basically lived eat and sleep that garage so just gotta ease up a little bit and not buying anymore toolboxes until I reorganize everything and set up where everything is going to go. The craftsman wall is complete basically and HF bench is full. Maybe someday down the road I'll swap out the lateral file for something.

CB I've figured out why Gerard wants me to come down to your place. So he can come up here and get this red box along with my craftsman rollers.

This week only!!! Buy the Equipo cabinet for the low, low price of $500.00. If you act fast, you get this red roller for half price!

But wait, there's more.

With every order you get the free book "Superman stubs his toe and lives to tell about it!"

Won't last long, act fast! operator standing by.

I'm listed out for right now. I have the full height Vidmar and the two bench height Listas to go through and paint.

Please forgive me, I can't resist noticing the label on the Lista "open one drawer at a time" . Did that come on it or it that you performing your safety duties?

Re: My "Shop"

Ok here's my issue. 8237f6ed2482ceb412b75e609ca3bf04.jpg

e28f895c364629bc4556f71d8857cf8a.jpg

Since the craftsman wall, HF bench and sink bench is essential full it's left me with some items I don't have a home for. Top drawer of the 3 drawer is all my paperwork and manuals. Other 2 drawers is just stuff. My workmate and all stuff on welding cart had no home. My thought was to put welder and tanks here.
47464cc39a15f2f082448f65a4fc00a4.jpg

Even if a clear it out I lose a lot of space cause of height of tanks. I really like using the cart and accessories I made have worked great. So thinking of redesign for that. The black line on the road is what I line my left side tires on when I back my truck in the garage. ANYTHING I make or do must be away from the line and nothing can be in this area.

1d5997c06770b3529498142cd1665b56.jpg

That's where drivers door swings open and really nothing big here cause then can't get to door to get in.

68c09f895fd60c175e74d4a79ed11411.jpg

be65cfd251cf13dd21b4a4e350806d44.jpgbddab964c410beecda14497e9ca8f94b.jpg

Now between cars I have this much room.
f6a9e93faacf4c8d97287e52fd096526.jpg

It's just enough to open doors. Now usually I move car over like this.
d2b55e0984b13a20fd55614502e3608d.jpg
Which gives me bigger walk way here.
0db8d3b98188ae2418ddd5c65bb9fd67.jpg

My garage gets used as main enterance so having a wide walk way is nice to have.
My idea was to put 3 drawer lateral in front of HF bench but I got this stuff here.
fec590a2c2094a5afd25cd60ba56d4e0.jpg

I got some figuring to do.

Re: My "Shop"

Now with discussions of tool boxes and me not buying more here's my thinking. I moved my nice carry to the craftsman wall.
8c778bd77b84223b1419b1b7a6a8c079.jpg

I have the machinist shelf.
93e0666fa607ff390217e5da1777924b.jpg

And carry box storage.
09a15b3655297b2eaf13e2f2d2f307e9.jpg

I do need room for the hip roof but another 2 I can put somewhere or anywhere. I literally have no room for anywhere for rollers or chest unless lateral file cabinet goes away. If find a 3rd 2 drawer carry I can always put other on shelf. The middle machinist box isn't a Craftsman but a Kennedy so no love lost if I get rid of if find a 3rd cause quarter of bottom is rusted and gone. For now it's holding few things.

So if I come across a red gray 2 drawer carry or a other craftsman crown machinist for right price sure I'll bring them home but anything else I don't have room for. So that's where I stand with future purchases of tool boxes. Sadly, cause still drooling over that Mac.

Gerard, I will ponder your dilemma as well over the weekend and toss in my two cents worth.

Regards

Thanks 1/2 Cup. I think if I can find a solution to the welder, cart and its parts than the lateral file isn't to much of issue.

I think it is time to either mount the welder in the bed of your truck, or, or..... get a smart car so you free up a ton more room. I'm just full of good ideas today aren't I? (Crickets chirping)

Do you have any room to build a mini loft or shelf near ceiling for some of the totes that you may not use much? And notch the shelf for the welder? What about building a ceiling hung shelf out of steel, stronger, less space needed and can attach to trusses.
I have some all thread you could use for hangers. A couple of angle racks sized to the totes.
Man, your down to the square inch.
A carport for the cars?:dunno::lol_hitti

What if I get a smart car and put it in the back of the truck that will free up one whole bay for stuff?

Nope nope and nope. I think once you get your *** up here and see it in person you will fully understand how much stuff I actually have stored in my garage. Emeraldcoupe has seen it and was amazed.

The only solution for you Gerard is to sell and move to a new place with a much larger garage. You should start looking right away before you find another craftsman box for sale.:lol_hitti

This thread now has me looking at machinist boxes! Fantastic space and very clever storage

Thank you[emoji482]. Tool boxes can be picked up relatively cheap and offer a great amount of storage for the space they take up. You don't have always have to store tools in a toolbox. You can basically store whatever you want. Mine don't have anything tools in them. I just think of them as cool box I can store stuff in.
