My new box and tools. Dirt ahoy!

I'm rather pleased with my most recent tool purchase. I don't know who made the box but it's in decent shape and the drawers slide well despite some back panel warping.

The box came with all the tools you see. There's a few MACs (one is stamped SABINA), a Cornwell and a bunch of Craftsman V series sockets, a Snap-On hammer head, Craftsman hammer, Wilde pliers, Dayton grinding wheels (NOS) and so forth.

Is that a small slide hammer for dents next to the hammer?

The pliers are for pulling lugnut covers off of heavy duty trucks.

Looks like an old Montgomery Wards PowerKraft box to me. If the price was right and you can use the tools, good find.

I'm getting pretty good at cleaning up old tools. Even saved a DOA 12" Crescent wrench recently. What a pain that was.

It's a Proto. I was pleased to see it in the box. At first I thought it was a Plomb too. It was probably made shortly after the name change.

With the exception of a missing driver on a socket all of the Craftsman tools are in solid shape. Outside of some shine I doubt that an exchange would be an upgrade.
