What to do with this 1/2 hp motor?

I bought this craftsman 1/2 hp 1725rpm motor a few months back for $10. I had no use for it, and still don't, but for $10 I didn't want to pass it up. It works real well but not sure what to do with it. I was going to use it for a belt grinder but i figured the RPMs were to low any thoughts on what I could use it for?

A fan, to run a pump of some sort, or sell it to someone who can actually use it.

Keep it! A use will come around the corner before you know it.

Could be a furnace fan motor, scroll saw motor, small table saw motor, grinder, etc, etc. Unless you are ninety years old....keep it.

I made a wire wheel station out of mine (see the first post in my project thread. Link in my signature.)
It's the most used machine in my shop.
I did something similar with a 3450rpm version of that motor to make a buffer.

Make sure you use protective clothing and eyewear.

That is nice!! Been looking for a craftsman stand too for a long time but so far, no luck.

A drill press runs at that rpm also

It'll turn a Myford Lathe in a pinch......and still be doing it 10 years later

I do have a Craftsman floor drill press and I was keeping this motor as a backup for that but feel like I should put it to use instead of just keeping it on a shelf.
