Funny how a certain comment about cheap import products gets misconstrued as all imported products are junk
You may be missing my point, it is not patriotism to chant "Buy American" when we have allowed government over regulation and poor engineering philosophy to push high priced short longevity goods into the market, and then buy the cheapest Indian and Chinese tools and call them ****. A patriot demands change back to marketplace economics that are driven by competition.
There is only one good reason to buy any product, that being that for the money it is the best product.
America during the 1950-70's did make the best products. We have lost that lead, and only a few Americans still think "Made in America" means quality, but the rest of the world doesn't make that mistake.
So, what country on earth today shows the most market driven capitalism?
If you said China you are right. Am I happy about that? Heck no! But I don't blame China, I blame the people in my country who took the well earned pride in American manufacturing prowess and turned it around. Part of how it happened was every time someone laughed at Chinese "****". When I was a boy it was Japan that made the "****", but now Japan makes the very best machine tools on earth.
I sure hope people can begin to look at things constructively before we lose all manufacturing.
If the only reason people buy what I make is because I live one ocean less far away, especially when other countries make as good or better products for the same $$$, I am not earning their patronage.

Thank you JC
