Been going through some old boxes this week that were passed down to me over the years. One of grandpa's tackle boxes, etc..

This box I had tucked away for some time. Belonged to my late aunt's late husband. He was a TSgt in the Marine Corp.. Never got to meet Uncle John, but all my life heard nothing but good things about him from everyone.

I have this very basic tool box that was his. Have to wonder if their were other tools parted out over the years as I received this long after he passed, and when my aunt was up there in age. She first gave me the pocket knife and then the razor knife when I was young.

The box is a Union Steel. Been sitting gathering dust for decades as you can see.

This box is just the way I received it to this day.

What's in there? Well, looking at it now I see there are a couple surprises.

Also, the Colonial Prov. RI knife and Evans cutter I was given first.

An old Diamond adjustable, Truecraft Japan wire cutters.

Unknown hammers. I bet the little pink hammer could do some damage.

Harrold pliers, Seymour Smith Snap Cut pruner, Homelite tape measure, unknown import locking pliers.

The screwdrivers. The surprise is a couple Plombs in there. Stanley, unknown, and hold e zee.

It looks like the "amber handle disease" as I call it has set in on most of these.

Well anyway, wasn't sure if I should include these in the tool forum but here goes. I also inherited a ton of old photos. Haven't looked at them in years but I love old photos so I selected a few at random. Many of what I have are military.My uncle in the middle of course.

He served in WWII and Korea.

A few more. There are way too many and lots more I have to dig out. It's hard to tell what is military archive in some cases. There are a bunch of others labeled Marshall Islands Invasion.

That car is the first pic is a 1936 Chrysler Airstream 6, not to be confused with an Airflow. The right and left bumper guards look factory but the middle one appears to be aftermarket or dealer add-on.

The car in the second pic has a distinct, late '30's Mopar look (Plymouth/Dodge/DeSoto) to it but I doubt it's the same car. Hood trim doesn't compute.

Nope, Bruce.

I googled that tank last night and came up with the same thing. It is probably a copy of a known photo or a "press" photo. There is nothing on the back. Some of these here I've noticed have a Naval Censor stamp on the back.
