1/3 hp Craftsman block grinder. This thing is nearly flawless.

Rockwell Delta Homecraft drill press. Again... just a little dusty but otherwise flawless. Has a corrosion ring on the table that'll come right off.

IMAG0987_zpsqrdravyk.jpg

Vintage Waterloo machinists tool chest. Has some surface rust on the base but should clean up great.

And a really cool Royal swivel chair in perfect condition. No rips or scuffs on the upholstery.

Also got a really neat vintage Hamilton Beach kitchen mixer for my wife.

I got all of this for $155.00. I'm a happy man.

Was that Waterloo box in the Twin Cities area ?
Another member was looking at a similar box, but it sold the day before he could get to the sale.

Those are some nice finds. That chair looks comfy.

I'd have made the drive from St. Cloud and had a fist fight with you for that stuff, especially at that price.

I'd rather see the man parts chucked up in the drill press. Now that's something ya don't see everyday. :lol_hitti

I saw this one, couldn't get over there, work got in the way again.

Here's the funny thing. I couldn't go to it either. I'm a pilot for Delta and I had a trip starting that morning. But some of my best friends live right across the street from the house having the sale. So I ran $200 bucks over to them with a list of everything I was interested in. I was hoping for just 2 or 3 things but she scored everything on the list for less than my asking price! I was in shock when she texted me that she got it all and still owed me change. I find myself coming up with excuses to visit my garage today.

It's good to find things that are in good condition.

Yes, it is. Here's the mixer I got my wife. I love it. It makes the most wonderful smell when it runs. Smells like ozone.

Nice find all of it and that machinist chest is absolutely sweet would love to see the drawer lay out in it.

7 drawer layout.

Felt is in great shape.

Here's the bottom. Still gotta figure out the best way to dress that up.

My drill press came with an extra spindle, some other doohickey, and a really cool can of Dev-Tap cutting oil. Anybody know what the doohickey does?

I'd probably just sand the rust down, primer it and maybe do plasti-dip stuff on the bottom? On that Waterloo.

Plastidip huh? I'll look into it. Originally I was thinking about sanding it down, masking off just the bottom, and painting it some kind of unoffensive color of rustoleum hammered. Probably gray color.

That's the standard Kennedy layout. At the time that box was made, Waterloo was also making the Craftsman machists chests for Sears. Essentially the same box with a different color and the Waterloo label. Late 60's - early 70's perhaps.

As for the rust on the bottom, I'd just use fine steel wool on it, wipe, then seal it with several coats of paste wax.

That doohickey looks like the rubber arbor for a drum sander

I have an older version of that mixer - my mother had one when I was a kid, so when I saw the exact same model at a yard sale I had to buy it. They're hard to find with the factory bowls still included, they tend to get lost or broken over time.

Forget the Plastidip. Sand & paint like you were thinking.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised there weren't any chips out of either bowl. I was even more surprised that the majority of the original sticker was still on the big bowl.
