Quite the change there! Nice job! Prime and paint the walls white and it will really brighten things up in there.
I have to ask where all of the junk went... :)

I was thinking the same thing.... That must have been one hell of a garage sale I missed! Both garages look great. What plans do you have for the "new" space?

Nice job with the cleanup.
Should turn into a nice new shop to work on things when you're done. Guess your problem now will be which garage to pull into to work. Cleaned up/restored or nice looking one you already have.

kind of like the people I bought my place from , when I did the closing , they basically rushed me thru the walk thru and I didn't get to see the garage , lazy asses piled all ther stuff they didn't want in the middle of it so I couldn't use it for staging when I moved in , so that wendsday when the garbage man came I slipped him a $20 and he backed the truck up to the door and we made a quick clean of the mess . most of it was trulely trash and could have been put to the curb before they moved out as they left the wendsday before . I took pictures of it and took them to the realator and they deducted $250 out of the check and gave it to me . pisses me off they purposely did that ..

when I moved out of the house I lived in before , I made sure the place was clean including the crawlspaces and attic , and any cleaners I put in a box and left in the kitchen so if they decided to keep them they could , all paint went too as it was crusty ( one of my peeves I find with most houses I helped people to move into . )

A lot of people put their extra stuff in the garage when showing the house, but they take it with them or throw it out before closing.

My house was left completely empty when I moved out except a bag of sidewalk salt and some cans of paint. Yes, the paint was good as one can was new and the other cans I had used for touch up before listing. I took some old paint that was no good to the hazmat site.

My situation was about the same.there was so much junk in the garage and behind it in the woods. When we bought the place ,we rented a dumpster just to clean up all the tires and other junk that was thrown in the woods behind the garage.I just kept putting off tackling the garage because of laziness and the fact I had another garage next to the house, but I'm glad I finally cleaned it so now I can do some work in it.

My first house was a super cheap POS that was being used as a rental. The renters had been there for years, so I was left with all kinds of **** in the garage and behind it. They had never trimmed a tree or bush and there was a chicken wire fence in the backyard trapping leaves.
The garbage man was not too happy for a few weeks, I was averaging 14 bags a week plus the bulk items week.
The garage door was just nailed up, no rails. It felt awesome the first day I opened the door.
One thing in particular I will never forget, the grass had grown over the sidewalks about 4-5" on each side. I used my dads old fashioned edger to cut it like sod and hauled those strips into the side yard where the overgrown lilacs had killed off everything. 50 square feet of free sod!
