So after visiting the site and luring around getting jealous of all the coolness going on, figured it was time to start our new project. We own Delmarva Powder Coating here in Delaware and needed to expand out of our 3 car garage for many reasons. Here's where we're at now...

Looking good so far, who is doing the build?

Will Kramer. http://www.wholesalepolebuildings.com

I was really impressed with the unique system he has developed. Not stick built, but the entire thing is built from engineered panels & trusses. Had the trusses dropped off just about an hour ago and the driver was the company owner. Asked about this system and his exact words were "Well, its really overkill for this kind of building" Just what I wanted to hear! :rocker:

Been a relatively smooth process since the start. Nothing but good things to say.

I think Kramer must of been tied in with Delmarva Pole Buildings at some point. They have renamed his panel system the "Delmarva Panel". Did Sam Yoder do the trusses?

Looks like it will be a nice shop.

Yes, I believe he was at one point with DPB. Broke off and now doing his own thing...he was the one who developed this concept.

We're just over the edge in Kent county. Had to jump through more hoops than I care to discuss to get this underway. Will Kramer has been great at assisting with supplying all the technical info the county required and has been answering the phone every time I call...and I do often ;) Lots of work up front, but the end results will be worth my efforts.

Let me guess it was Scott Vautard at the county.

Well, progress slow due to the stupid rain. Finally was able to get a few sunny shots in, but the rains came back. Today had some great progress with the roof and rear side metal.

I'm impressed.

Did you powder coat the trim with "Red Baron" or "Bengal Red?" My powder coater switches from one to the other for his "house red" depending on price. So, I have stuff in both shades.

What? You used factory painted trim? Say it isn't so.

CONCRETE FINALLY!!! After several re-schedules due to the rains in Delaware, found a clear day the concrete guys were available.

Due to my location, being downhill, they designed a swail in the pad to move water where it needs to go.

Looks good, never seen engineered panels like that before. Why did you use engineered panels vs perlins?

Coming along very nice. Wish ya were closer I have about 20 engine parts needing powder.

No rebar in that concrete? Gulp.
more than likely fibermesh.

fibermesh @ 4000 psi is what I did.

I liked the strength of the engineered panels. This thing is so damn solid, once the panels were secured, there was no budging or movement of any sort....and this was BEFORE metal went on.

Yes, I have updates. Been SOOO busy lately with life in general to update this thread. Shop is now a fully operational Powder Coating shop. Been doing tons of business out of it and many projects within the new walls.
