Oil Stain on Paver Brick

Hi All,
A utility truck left a large stain when putting in a lightpost on some paver bricks. I went out there and put dergent and kitty litter on top of it over night. Stain is largely gone however it rained at night and kitty litter turned to cement. I scrubbed the excess off but the paver bricks still have a light iscoloration reletave to the rest. I think it needs to be power washed or scrubbed with vinegar and a agressive brush. I've tried soapy water with a wet paper towel and its not working well. Any ideas? Thanks!

I had 2 gallons of oil tip over and leak from the bed on my truck onto my concrete driveway last year. I was on my way to recycle them so no good deed goes unpunished. It was summer and they soaked in pretty good. I used a power washer and degreaser and sprayed for a few hours.

Did it finally come out?

It's completely gone. The neighbor that knocked on the door to tell me about my mess can't even tell where is was after everything dried. I took a good amount of time washing it. If it would have stained my driveway would have been destroyed.

with smaller spills I have found that brake cleaner works very well on cement/pavers. I spray the spill to wet the area with cleaner, wait a few minutes and sponge the excess up with a rag. Stubborn spots get a few repeats.

I've done this for immediate spills and cannot tell where the spill was, nor was there any discoloration.

think about this for a moment; how many vehicles leak oil? esp older ones...

yet no ones driveway is black?

the sun breaks down the oil and itll disapear over time simply from sunlight.

Remove it, and place it somewhere less obvious. Take removed brick and put into oil brick original spot... then bang his wife.

I used Super Clean. Had some pretty bad stains, so applied some SC, wire brushed lightly, sprayed again, then rinsed.

The stubborn ones, I just re-applied. Do it now, on the little ones I find, only I just spritz on the SC, and leave it sit. The rain rinses it, eventually.

really? its a paver or 2? waht $6 at home depot?

no need to pester the company

Ever try to find a matching paver even 1 year later?

And if you read the 1st post it says "large stain".
I doubt he'd be putting in this much effort if it was " a paver or 2"

Utility companies charge enough. They don't need to be running equipment that damages property.
