Modified Transmission stand for MaxJax

As MaxJax owners are aware the standard transmission jacks are too tall (lift range 51" to 61") to fit under the MaxJax lift (max 48" lift height).

So, I modified my Princess Auto transmission lift by cutting out 10 inches of the base tube and welding it back together.

Not sure if you'll run into any issues but why not cut off the flange off flush and shorten the square tube and weld the flange back on? splicing in the middle like that is not so bueno.

Oh that's nice! How low can you make it go?

I've got a HF trans jack that only lifts a couple feet. I wish it would go taller but it goes nice and low. A mid rise jack would be nice if I could make it go down to about 28".

That's cool.

I did a mod to my old mechanics stool. Cushion was uncomfortable so I added an inexpensive boat seat to the frame and voila a nice comfy roller.
