I've got a "Junk warehouse" half a mile from my work (Fraser, MI) that I've been going to for the last few days during lunch. Yesterday I picked through a few bins and ended up with 10lbs of Cornwell, apex, williams, thorson, snap-on, hazet, plomb, par-x, bonney, mac, globemaster . . .(sockets, impact sockets, wrenches, drivers, bits, etc.) for $2 a pound, a little rusty on the surface but in excellent condition. I'm gonna be going back to keep digging until I grab all the "good stuff".

Most of it is older tools, so what other brands should I be looking for?

I'll take pictures of what I've gotten so far, I just didn't get the chance to last night.

A few larger combination wrenches, double open end wrenches, a Lincoln pistol grease gun, impact sockets. Of course I bought a bunch of stuff that I didn't need but couldn't pass up.

No, those are just the ones I have tattooed on my forearms. I have more tattooed on my ****. Should I get out the mirror and read those off?

If that long list was off of your forearms, I would hate to see how many names you could tattoo on your ****. You and Merk aren't REAL good friends are you???

IIRC, Merk just has the word "Snap-on" tatted all over his body. I copied all my tat's from Uncle Buck, an out-of-the-closet ******** toolostitute, if ever there was one.

What is the name of this place I can't think of anyplace in Fraser like that? Have you ever been to Mr. O'tools on Van ****? If you haven't go check them out. Next trip up north I'll have to make a pass thru.

Cleaned out the good stuff out of 2 more of his boxes. Only 32lbs of wrenches this time + a like new 3/4 williams ratchet. He wanted $30 for the wrenches and I couldn't pass up the big ratchet. The socket boxes will have to wait for another day.

Bolster I think I got at least one of everything on your list, plus a few I've never heard of. I'll try to get some pictures up tonight.

Axis, I have no clue what the name of it is. But it is on 13Mile road about 1/4 mile west of Groesbeck, on the north side of the street. He's got a white sign out at the road that basically says 30 years of stuff for sale.

Pictures are here. Now I just need to invest in some Evapo-Rust, and a few more brass brushes.

Did you get some stuff that you actually needed?

What could that possibly have to do with anything? Does anybody need more that 10 ratchets? Probably not but I bet most members here have at least 10 with a few passing the multi hundred mark.

To the OP, really like those Bonney wrenches!!!

As of right now, nothing is for sale, but it will be hopefully by the weekend. I want to go through and pull out the stuff I want to keep. Plus I have some more digging to do, and who knows what I will find.

its an ongoing sale, Next time I swing by I'll get the address. It is basically the guys house, but he has a storage building where all his old junk is. It is about 1/4 mile west of Groesbeck on the north side of 13 mile rd.

I've gone over there the last few days and added to my pile of stuff (soon to go up on the classifieds). Found some cool old wrenches Chrome X Qualiy, X (coolest wrench I've found, but uncomfortable in hand), Wards by Lakeside, Blue Line, . . .

Is anyone interested in a Berylco open end wrench set (Beryllium Copper)? I don't know the sizes off hand but it is around 5/8 - 1-1/4 a 5 or 6 pcs set (I'll get exact details and condition before I buy them). He also has 2 large Berylco pipe wrenches. My first trip there he was looking to get $100 for the wrench set, ? on the pipe wrenches. Let me know if someone is interested.
