Epoxy floor on new slab with spider-web cracks?

My new (5 month old) slab has spider web cracks, some not even hairline in size. From what I've read these should be of no great concern, it happens. But, can I have a polyaspartic floor applied now or will the worsening of these cracks cause defects or show in the finished floor? IIRC polyaspartic tolerates some flexibility, shifting, and expansion.

If it cracks, more, the coating is going to crack.
Let it settle a year if you can, knowing that you have cracks still appearing.

Hi, liquid coatings won't hide cracks, and will crack if the floor develops new cracks.

We carry flexible epoxies that can handle lateral movement for floors that may move like elevators or suspended, over basement, areas, but horizontal pulling can cause cracking.

Another solution could be garage floor tiles like our SupraTile or other brands commonly available.

If it makes any difference it would be a full chip broadcast to refusal with 2 topcoats

Anyway, here's what it looks like. They're not as big as the appear, - can't put your fingernail in it, but they're there

A properly laid out multi layer full chip broadcast would cover these cracks quite well. Full broadcasts are great for floors with issues. The only consider is cost, they use lots of materials.

We can set up a full broadcast system for you with the GJ 40% discount. Please email us directly for info and pricing, as we need to know square footage. Thanks!

I figured that it would cover the cracks, my concern was that if they are still growing (the slab will be about 6 months old) that that new growth would be seen in the new Poly floor, and that I should wait some time first.

Thanks for you input.

Lets take a step back if you don't mind. How big is the slab, what specifics can you tell us about it and what type of expansion joints were utilized. Have you happened to notice if it scratches or scores real easy?

Great question, I was wondering the same thing. It could possibly be a soft layer with excess laitance.

What do you consider "scratches easily"? I'm not moved in yet but can check when I go by the house this week. The whole house, patio, porch garage, everything was poured as one post tension slab. The porch has similar but smaller hairlines. I'll check, but I expect the patio at back has it also - I can't imagine the whole house isn't the same.

Everything on The Google says this is not a structural concern, so I'm just wondering when it's safe to epoxy this sucker.
