Wow.
If I had an eBay account I'd try and get something. Industrial tool and Internet history.
I don't think links to stuff for sale are allowed but theres a notice link on the alloy artifacts main page.

Yes. I watched a 1929 Snap-on 3/8dr ratchet go for $58. One thing for sure, those tools are well documented and well photographed. You know what you're bidding on.
I was watching some other sellers' Snap-on and couldn't tell if it was chrome or polished raw steel, and no clue to the date code. 7-12 blurry photos of the same angle of the same side. Show me something, people!

I guess that's not un reasonable for that ratchet but I wonder if the fact that they're from the AA collection will drive up prices.

Here you go, ........

http://alloy-artifacts.org

....... have fun reading. It may take a while. :D

Ahhh, "THAT" website... I've been there numerous times. He has written so many good articles. I stumbled upon him when I was researching PLOMB stuff.

I'll have to keep an eye out. I really like the VLCHEK Ford brake wrench he has, but he has it paired with some wrenches I don't want...:headscrat

Snap! Yes they are selling parts of the collection.

I bought two PF-83 ratchets off of their eBay seller. It is as you say, that you have a little more assurance for what you are buying. ^_^
