Anyone have any experience with this gantry crane? Seems pretty reasonable and could be perfect pickup beds, and awkward items, etc.

I bought one of their 12 ton presses and before it was completely assembled I returned it. I realize this doesn't answer the question you ask, but if the gantry cranes are made of the same material as their presses, I wouldn't use it. Everything was flimsy. The nuts and bolts felt cheap. It might work for your needs, but I would never trust one of those cranes to lift 1/2 ton that's for sure.

I bought one of the presses about three or four years ago, and have used it quite a bit. Mine is the 20 ton, not the 12 ton, though. Seems to be ok for everything I've needed it for.

Thanks for your two cents worth. Anyways... anyone got any info to share on the gantry?

I've got one and it's done everything I've asked of it. It helps to have two people to raise and lower it but not completely necessary. The one thing I would suggest is buy A good trolley. I got A 2ton jet trolley from Northern tool for under 200 bucks. I don't have a HF press so I can't speak about them.

I built a Gantry crane that's not as beefy as the Harbor Freight unit & I've had my 2700 lb.
Comet Milling machine swinging from it.
