Snap on 1/2 hard handle breaker bar

For sale is a Snap on 1/2 breaker bar with a blue hard handle. The color is a light blue, I have seen it referred to as baby blue and electric blue. The pics show a good representation of the true color. The initials"GDB" are engraved as shown in the pics. There is also the letter "G" engraved on the opposite side of the head where the GDB is engraved. The item is in very good condition. The handle has some light road rash on it. I took a pic of the worst areas. The part # is SNH18. There is a 3/8 listed in another thread.

I am asking 75.00 shipped.

I know this is not ebay but I am in a pinch and decided to sell these. I always post tools here first before they go to ebay. The main reason for the 100.00 is the color of the handle.

A set of 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" breaker bars with these blue handles just sold for $205. Brand new in box. I had a 1/4" flex head ratchet with a blue handle like this, but gave the handle to a friend.

You would probably be better off selling them on ebay, There seem to be alot of crazies on there searching for hardhandle items. Im not knocking your price but me personally i would have a hard time giving that much for a used, engraved break/over bar. Good Luck..

There are certin people who just have to have things such as the Snap on FK835 I saw listed on ebay a few days ago with a BIN for 175.00. I really want that ratchet but there is no way I am dropping that kind of coin on it. I have allways listed the few items I have sold on the board reasonable and this is the one exception, I know my price is high. See here is the truth with these two tools, I need the money and do not want to sell the tool. SO if I do sell it I did well and will not feel quite so bad. I am sure others have been in my shoes before. There both on ebay now. Starting bid 5.00 with free shipping.

You didnt do anything wrong and no need to apologize. You have a quality product that is in high demand currently and i would be suprised if you dont bring a fair price on ebay. Just because someone compains about your price doesnt mean its not worth it to the next guy. I dont get the whole hard handle craziness but i have capitalized on it via ebay and other places. When i price tools, i basically price them as how much would it take me to part with this item. Some items aren't necessarily worth a lot, but its something i would rather keep than to make $5 off of. Regardless of the actual "value" as set by forums and ebay. So i understand where bushhawg73 is coming from on this. Before you sell something you like and may want again in the future, then you have to take into account replacement value, shipping, and the time to find the item.

Since GJ should be comprised of colleagues or people with the same passions I would expect that you at least would give GJ'ers a break in pricing over what you would accept on ebay.

If you were willing to take a net of $67.50, and the best price you gave GJ'ers was $75 it is almost like you are taking advantage of the GJ relationship. If you offered it on GJ for $75 and set a Buy it Now of $85+ on ebay I would have no qualms.

He actually was initially asking 100 bucks but after the hassle he got here he lowered his price and listed it on ebay, Probably cost himself a little money because hard handles are selling like hotcakes on ebay currently. Congrats on selling it, regardless.

Actually when everyone started hassling him on pricing he shouldve just taken it down entirely and put it on ebay. Posts like some of the ones in this thread sometimes turn me off on selling stuff on here.

I did indicate in the third post, to Moose-LandTran, that I was open to reasonable offers. I would have rather sold it to a GJ member and I would have taken 65.00 from anyone who offered it on GJ. I wanted to make some money but I also like helping GJ members with their obsession for More Tools.What else can I say. Based on the current demand for the hard handle tools the price was not outrageous IMHO. I thank all of those who stood up about some comments and express to others that I am neither offended or upset in any way. This is my second year on GJ and this is one of the few places I visit regularly on the internet. I am already working on this years secret santa project. Good day to all.

Ive sold/bought quite a bit of stuff from the board. It just boils down to some people believe they know exactly how much stuff is worth and they want to try and impress people with there knowledge or lack there of. It only happens on rare occasion it seems..

I can't remember in recent history reading anything so pompous and indignant as rallenc'sdribble.

BUSHAWG 73 you are a better man than me, that's all I can say. Yeah, I agreed the pricing was a bit high, but I also saw a set of green hard handled SO screwdrivers go for $406 on Egay. Most folks in here would not pay a "C" note for a used engraved breaker; but maybe someone wanted it really bad. You offered it to forum folks first -THANKS!

We (collectively) berated you and you felt compelled to lower the price (you should have told us to '*********** off'.) Actually, some probably broke the classified forum rules. But I honestly felt like saying "WTF? are you kidding?" b/c most of us o this forum 'know' better; but at least you offered them to us. You knew it was overpriced for "us", but you were selling cause you wanted the large money-I understand. If you had to screw somebody-might as well be your friends, haha.

Because of the beratement, you lowered the price-which, in my opinion was a mistake - you probably could have gotten $130 on Ebay given the state of frenzy on there now. The folks here did you a dis-service by talking you down in price, but you did listened to them.

Now this.....poster....comes up and hands you a pitiful apology and then rakes you over the coals. I mean, I just really don't know what to say about that pompous attitude. I am truly taken aback

Anyways, you've exhibited much more graicous and gentlemanly conduct than would I. But, I also do not offer items for sale here; I know that they will bring more money at auction than if I were to offer them up at fair market value. Sad, but true; and the more money I get for my sales, the more tools I can buy
