Layouts are weird to me. 41" has no full width drawer on the cabinet, too many deep drawers. I've never felt the need for the one super deep drawer either.

44HF with side cab here. Only issue I have is depth (would prefer 24 or more over the 18) but for the price I can't complain.

No there won't be any converts. Because we all know the HF boxes are the best and made by Jesus Christ himself. There is no better box for the money and if you suggest or even worse Buy a different box you will be publicly ridiculed and shamed. This according to most on this site

Most people, will just use common sense and reasoning, for their toolbox purchase decisions.

Most HF tool chests are very high quality and very low priced, two aspects,of economics, that seem to draw consumers, for some strange reason.

I think the Craftsman heavy duty and premium heavy duty boxes are really good for the money. The problem is people say Craftsman boxes are flimsy and ****. Well the entry level boxes are and the price reflects that. The heavy duty and premium heavy duty are on our or dare I say better than comparable boxes from other stores. The grip latch drawer pulls are superior to most other drawer retention systems. And made in USA. I would love to see the 68" in person.

I'm not in need of any new tool storage, at the moment. I have 2 CM 26" Bases, 2 CM mid Boxes, 1 CM top box and 1 Mac top box. The CM boxes are well over 25 years old, and the Mac likely 40 years old or more. They have been taken care of, and are still serviceable.

Lately, I have been sorting and reorganizing my hand tools, and will likely need more storage in a year or 2.

$409 for the 52" looks pretty good to me. I like that side by side layout.

I have a smaller cheaper Craftsman tool chest and I use the big bottom drawer to store bigger socket sets in cases. They just do fit inside the drawer. At least something with the Craftsman brand name has been released on the market. After reading some of the other stories around here I had my doubts that anything new with Craftsman on it would be released.

Overall I like the appearance of these tool chests. What ever happened to the portable metal tool boxes?

That 68" with all the double slides and offered in blue is pretty cool looking for $1,100. Darn shame it's only 18" deep though.

I liked the budget 41" until I saw the drawer setup on the bottom, how is a full length drawer not included? I do however like the top, would consider it if I had a place for it, like maybe a well thought out bottom cab?!?! It would be for home use only, my HF would stay at work.

Nice enough boxes, and reasonable prices..
But I agree with the Others about the 18" depth .. Especially when a top box is added.. The castors are mounted inward, so their tread is even less than the 18" depth of the box. These "skyscraper" boxes with the small footprint;;; ok if they can stay in one spot; but they are not as stable as a deeper box.

Check out the single slides on the bottom, heavier drawers as well. So they give you the deeper and larger drawers for bigger, heavier stuff with only a single rail. I like their Premium line, but every time I've looked at the Heavy Duty on down I am shocked at what they are charging for said quality. These look like more of the same, but may be fine for general light-duty homeowners.

My guess is sears thinks real mechanics buy boxes from them any more. Both 40" combos look useless. The 52" combo could be passable. The super deep top could be handy. As for the edge series, those are SPG International boxes. Sears Canada has used SPG as their supplier for years, they are just bring those south. The 26" combo looks pretty good and useful.

Looks good...I just wish they were offered in more colors like white.

Craftsman used to offer some great color variety, but not any more. Now it's just red & black, black, and sometimes midnight blue or another color.

A few years ago, Craftsman was still the top-selling tool storage brand, presumably among consumer brands, but who knows.

They still sell very, very well.

As for the ones I posted about, I think that the 41" could/should have had one more row of drawers in the top chest, and while I like the symmetry of the 52" combo, I would agree that a full-width drawer might have been nice. As it is, it doesn't look like you gain much benefit compared to two side by side 26" units, aside from being able to move everything at once.

I haven't seen the Edge in person (yet?), but they look decent. The 68" mobile workbench looks good. The caster configuration might be wrong - I would expect for the fixed wheels to be in the middle. I wonder why the casters are at both ends and biased at maybe 1/3 of the way in, instead of at the center.

It does appear at times that there are only HF boxes or Snap-on boxes around here!

^^^^This^^^^ I really like the HF boxes and they seem of good value but all of my boxes are Craftsman because I used to work really close to a Sears outlet store and would pick up awesome deals on them. My 1st ever box was a cheapo craftsman. I still have it but it's flimsy as all get out! Next I bought a regular, middle of the road Craftsman. It is a nice box and meets my needs just fine. Most recently I picked up a Craftsman Industrial and I love it! No play or wiggle when the drawers are loaded and out. It's a great box. Don't know that I'd pay store prices for it but if you can find a good deal they are good boxes.

The 68" looks to be a 50 something box with a side box bolted to the side. I like the basic idea of the box, but would rather it be a cut and dry bottom/ side box combo.

That might explain the caster configuration, and I was wondering what the vertical split was for/from!
