........... Do you guys set a limit and once you spend it your done for the week? I try to stay within my budget but i find so many cool tools i want and i can't help myself from getting them at such a good deal. ...........
Budget ? What is this word ?
We don't need no stinkin' budgets !!
I don't set a weekly budget, but I do try to limit my spending by passing on items that I know I'll see again nearly every week and concentrate on the items that don't appear as often. At this point I have nearly everything that I
need and can concentrate on items that I
want. An unfortunate side effect is that the want items tend to be higher priced and/or harder to find. Since I only get paid every two weeks, I occasionally need to make hard choices. Two weeks ago - Do I skip meals and buy a hard to find vise ? Or be responsible and not spend out of my food money ? (Bad example, I ate Ramen and refurbished the vise.

)
If I was a flipper (getting closer to jumping in the pool), the choices would depend on what I thought my profit margin would be. Even if my goal was to just break even.
Each of us needs to make our own choices based on our own situations.
My advice, try to spend less and put a little away each week into a savings account that you don't touch -
ever ! You will need it later. Set up another account for car repairs, etc. I didn't do that when I was your age and now I'm still living paycheck-to-paycheck. It *****, and not in a good way. Don't get me wrong, I'm doing alright for myself. But only marginally. If I had put some thought to it earlier, I'd be much better off.
Buying bulk can be exciting, but I've found that when I do targeting buying, I tend to be much more satisfied with the individual items.
YMMV
