My grandparents are at that point where they're downsizing some stuff and my grandad gave me this box of his fathers sheet metal tools, I feel pretty honored by this as he bypassed his own son, and his stepsons (my dad and uncle) because he wanted them to go to someone who would use them

Drives: I doubt I'll get any lessons, he's in pretty bad shape these days. My uncle and I do pretty much anything they need, he can't even put the filters on the fridge anymore.

He taught me a lot growing up (he raised me since I was 9). Those tools were always on his workbench, right there on top, but I only ever saw him use the snips and those SK grips

Do the dividers have a name on them?
Thanks for sharing.
Tools with a history are very unique.

I'd be happy to check for a name... as soon as I figure out what the are...

Googled it... I work around sheet metal guys almost every day (I'm an electrician) and have never heard that term before

The large dividers are Renier and Campbell and the smaller 'compass' has a number 8 and made in USA on them

They come in handy alot. I have the malcos. They also work well for scoring drywall for holes.

Some classic tin knockers tools there!

Looks like an old fashioned ear bender to the right of the hammer, and the big snips are known as bulldogs.
