Another 3/4" drive question

So I have been able to piece an Allen and Craftsman SAE set to together for a reasonable price minus a storage box. Works on most of my tractor implements. Now I'm looking to assemble a metric set for the tractor and an Italian made mowing machine. I'm thinking of get Wright brand for the sockets. I found a set locally with box, ratchet, extensions, and ETC. Witch set of ratchet and extensions would you keep ,and what to ask for the others? These are nearly new and all US made.

Being that I own several sets, + impact sets; and have still bought extra extensions, I would keep them... Ratchets;; being the selector lever went awol on my 3/4 drive ProTo ratchet; I am glad to have an extra ratchet.....

Looking at the dollar value of most used tools; I tend to keep them.

So you have Craftsman and Allen SAE sockets, who makes your ratchet and extensions? Or do you need them (is this what you are asking about)?

Not really sure is you need a complete set of 3/4" drive metric sockets. I never needed them when working at the dealership. I got by fine with a 1/2" drive set. If push came to shove i would buy only the 3/4" drive metric sockets you need, when you cross that road. Chances are, 99% of them would never be used. Buy a complete 1/2" drive set, they would be/are more useful on farm equipment.

That being said, how much is this Wright socket set? What sockets are with it? Are they all Wright?

I would keep both ratchets and all the extensions, its the GJ way.
I only have a partial 3/4" set, mostly metric with a few SAE, I pick up sockets as I find them cheap mostly but I have 3 ratchets and have no plans to sell any.

IF you do not have a 3/4 drive breaker bar, trade a ratchet for one. The breaker bar can be more useful then the ratchet.

I got a 1" breaker bar from this guy, with a 3/4 adapter.

Used 3/4 sets don't seem to bring any money. For what little you are going to get for them I'd keep them.

Have complete set of Allen drive tools already. If I get the Wright set, I will have2 sets of drive tools. Both are like new, and have same size extensions, an universal, reducer, breaker bar, and ratchet. All US made, NO room or need for 2. Which one would bring more for resale and what would be a asking price (drive tools only).

What sizes?

Look on ebay, under sold listings, for an accurate price as to what the market is. Make sure you are comparing the same manufacturers that you own.

Not going to get much for 3/4" drive stuff as people rarely need it.

I'd keep it . . . or better yet . .
. . . . Pay It Forward and give to your son

. . . OR . .
if no kids, then give to an industrious young mechanic who'll keep for his lifetime.

Agreed. My 1/2" drive S-K flex head is as long as the NAPA 3/4" drive ratchet I had, weighs less and gets into tighter spots. For the few times I break out the 3/4" drive stuff, a breaker bar is all I need.
