Went up the north shore of Lake Superior (highly recommend) with my wife and kids for a three day vacation, and our first day we were getting rain, so we decided to just stay inside. I looked on the local CL and found this Paramo No. 6. It is huge and heavy! It was being sold with a welding table, but I convinced the seller to sell it to me without the table. It was left outside to the elements but it opens and closes very smooth and swivels real nice. The jaws aren't the greatest but not completely useless either. I have a Wilton I am currently working on but this one will soon see some attention.

I paid $65. Can someone smarter than me tell me how I did on the vise?

While not a price I would say you did real well, and in my back yard too.

What was he asking for both the table and vise, he is asking $125 for the table alone.

He wanted $200 for both. When I called he said he wanted $75 for the vise, so I countered at $50 and we agreed on $65. My plan is to fix it up and give it to my oldest someday.

Hmm I might have to shoot him an offer on the table, seems like he is willing to deal a bit.

You guys are making me nostalgic. My wife and I rented a sweet little cabin right on the edge of Lake Superior last summer in Two Harbors, just north of Duluth. Took a great train ride back and forth and later had a wonderful time watching the 4th of July fireworks from the deck at Castle Danger brewing.

Thanks...it's a pretty long drive...
It was part of a 7 week round trip of America driving vacation...over 10,000 miles
Made it all the way to Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor Maine.

Sounds like a lot of fun. We just got back from a 6 day 4000 mile trip to Spokane, Wa, Yellowstone and Mt Rushmore. Wish we had more time to see a bit more, of course western MN, eastern ND and eastern SD there is not much to see

Sounds like some REALLY long driving days.

We made it from Bar Harbor to Los Angeles in 5 days after taking almost 6 weeks to get from Seattle to Bar Harbor via US2. (as you may have guessed, we are both retired)
