i went on the snapon dealers truck yesterday to pay off my bill

and i noticed he had a roll cart onboard (krsc40a) and he mentioned it was a scratch and dent special (one tiny ding in the front but hey had i ordered a $1400.00 cart i wouldn't have wanted it either)

he said he would give me $350.00 for my current box (a 24 or 26" remline ballbearing bottom chest that i paid $700 for new 8 years ago)

it was marked down to $1000.00 for the scratch and dent i got $350 off for my old box and i got him to knock another $50.00 and pay the tax for paying it in full with cash next week :bounce:

so $600.00 cash and my old box

i almost felt bad after i was done negotiating :)

anyway i attached pics of the new cart and the old box

yah i think i doubled my storage cap. going from a box to a cart

nice thing is its fully welded and unlike some of the lesser carts it uses the same drawers and slides as the kra series boxes

i love carts. Although that doesn't have an open shelf so i wouldn't consider it a cart.

If i need more storage Ill end up putting a 2 drawer intermediate chest in the bottom of mine.

That's a good deal worthy of a "You ****". I just got the six drawer version of the Snap on cart at work. They are really nice carts. I wish they had a side shelf for them though.

I've been seeing the one (or SO models like it) you've pictured on the left for between $350-$800 on CL with an avg. of about $500.

When I can swing the money, I'd like to get one that size.

My SO dealer is surprised by the pricing lately on CL.

I missed a 9 drawer box of those dims. full of SO sockets and some battery chargers for $350. I didn't call the guy back for a few days, and when I did he'd just sold it.

I've had many "near misses" on CL lately :(

If you need more space they make a side for your BluePoint cart for around$300.00 new.

haha thats double I paid for the cart. Maybe ill buy one though when I get out of school if my friend is still at UTI and can get the 1/2 off discount.

They only make them in blue/yellow/and some other color though, not black according to snapon's website

I bought a black one for the first Blue Point cart I bought, I'm sure they still sell them talk to a dealer. I also bought a blue one for my Snap On cart and fabricated some brackets to mount it. Definitely a cheap way to add some space.
