I have a little 2 gallon Craftsman Clean N' Carry. I think I paid $30 for it new 10 years ago. Still going strong. Way nicer than spending $2 to use a filthy one at the car wash.

I have a full size Shop-Vac branded one, also, that I think was $2 at a garage sale.

These DeWalt shop-vac/dust extraction systems look nice.

Mine is an 8 gallon that I have used hundreds of times. At work, we go through shop vac's like candy. Usually the guys can't be bothered with replacing both filters. I always have a bag filter in the canister and the foam type filter wrapped around the cage supporting the check ball. Both are cleaned or replaced regularly. Still going strong 30 years later.

I've had that little vac for the same amount of time too, but somehow lost the handy upholstery tools. It is a good vacuum.

For the past couple of years, I've been using a 1 gallon ShopVac QSP wet/dry vacuum. It's great for small jobs and easy to carry throughout the house. However, The suction is a little weak for vacuuming out the cars and woodworking equipment, and it has a small hose, which can easily clog if I'm not careful.

A couple of weeks ago, I picked up a 20 gallon ShopVac QSP wet/dry vacuum at a yard sale with the intention of flipping it. Not only was it in great shape, quiet and it would solve the issues that I listed above. So I decided to keep it, bought new filters and a crevice tool (the only missing tool).

I had a Dayton 5hp one that hung on the wall and had about 25 feet of hose, that thing was awesome. Now I have a little craftsman one that hangs up at home and there's a rigid at work.

My old Craftsman dual motor 758-17831, 13 amps of sucking power. A friend owned it in the mid 1970's, I bought it from him about 20 years ago when he sold off everything and moved to a senior home. It came with 16' of a very strong yet lightweight and flexible hose, unlike what is on the market now.
One time I sucked up an errant mouse that took up residence in my shop. He made funny noises as he bumped his way down the hose then plopped to the bottom of the drum. I released him back in the woods.

Both of my shop vacs are way too weak. I don't even use the wall mount one anymore because the suction is so poor.

What the strongest shop vac available right now? I'd love to find one strong enough to pull dog hair out of car interiors with minimal brushing.
