Bonding rubber to steel?

So I am building my radiator brackets for my BMW and I'm using rubber strips as isolators. I'd like to bond the rubber (0.25" strips cut from a tire sidewall) to the steel brackets but I'm not sure what to use. The "glue" must be able to withstand the heat coming off the radiator. I was thinking that the black urethane window weld from 3M. Suggestions?

I have used urethane as well with success. And I am glad to see that 1" strap works just as well for a radiator mount in a BMW as it does in a '72 Chevelle.

I was going to say either weatherstrip adhesive or windshield urethane. So I got beat to the punch! Unless you have a tube already open or a few other things to glue, I believe I would try the weatherstrip adhesive first because the urethane doesn't keep all that well. But that's the cheapskate in me talking!

3M Super Weather Strip Adhesive.

This ^ has been my "go to" glue for metal to rubber for years. Maybe there is a newer better product, but I haven't needed to look for anything else. Follow the instructions.

I would make a mold and overmold the rubber. If you dont want to spend the money on a 2 part mixture, just use some RTV tubes.

On the above post, one could use Plasti-Dip on the brackets themselves. There's a thought.

... but found that it would NOT bond the black rubber sheeting back onto an extruded aluminum running board on my mother's Sienna, so I tried THIS stuff:

no idea on temperature resistance, but it worked where the Pliobond failed.
damn sticky stuff. took two weeks to finally get it off my hands. about $22 for a caulking-gun-size tube at an automotive body and fender supply house.

I had a rubber carb boot that separated from the aluminum mounting flange. Known issue on Yamaha XT600. Used the water activated gorilla glue after cleaning scuffing both surfaces before bonding together. I put a small blob on just the rubber to test it, and it wouldn't come off, it looked like it would tear the rubber first.

I have been using a product in UK called CT-1.. It has YouTube reviews I believe. It has stuck everything I have put it on so far. Worth a bash mate.
