Supratile Transit Authority Install

Happy to share some photos sent to us by NJ Transit, the state's mass transit system.

They had to redo a train station fast for last week's PGA tournament held in NJ. The existing tile floor had cracked and was a hazard/liability issue.

They selected our SupraTile Design Series Interlocking Tiles with the hidden joint. These tiles have the integrated clear coat built into them for high traffic areas like showrooms, retail stores, supermarkets etc.

7,400 square feet was completed in a single weekend!

These tiles can be used in garages, but we do recommend the SupraTile adhesive for these applications due to the temperature swings garages normally experience.

Wonder how those would work in my kitchen? And baths?

Hi,
Would be fine for a kitchen, not for a bath since if you had a toilet overflow, water could migrate under the tiles.

So then how does this work for a garage and water coming in? Either through some rain coming in when the door is open or water from melting snow on cars in the winter. For that matter how do they handle spilled fluids (oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, etc) from general garage use?

Hi, the tiles have very tight joints and less than 1/10th of % of the floor is joints so liquids just stay on top. We never get complaints of moisture getting through them including rain and snow. They are highly resistant to most common fluids and are used in auto repair shops.

I have been tempted to do my garage with these hidden seam PVC tiles but am resisting that temptation due to my experience with PVC mats that I have had down for a few years. These are coin pattern G-floor mats in a royal blue color. Looked great when new, but over time the tires have stained them black & it can't be removed. Also, even though the seams are very tight, moisture WILL find its way under them & if it can't escape then mold/mildew will follow. Now leaning towards Swisstrax Ribtrax or Racedeck Freeflow.
