I don't care for Cornwell's chrome sockets as they still use a design from over 50 years ago. Instead of having scalloped cutouts for the drive tool retention ball on all fours sides of the female square drive end, Cornwell only has a single hole on one side. :wtf:

Do Cornwell offer any type of flank drive or anything like that on their sockets?

Buy SK sockets and a Snap On dual 80. Done

Yes they're all radiused but as Fed said there is no detent other than a hole so if you don't pay attention to where the drive is locking in the socket can just drop off. Big pass on the chrome stuff until they modernize that antiquated process.

Their impacts are okay though.

They're good sockets but nothing special. Where Cornwell really stands out is their combination wrenches and ratchets.

I just want to hang out in shop for TV show of Stacey David working on all those cool projects (Sargeant truck, Interceptor Cougar, old school tow truck, etc) with every conceivable tool along with Cornwell tools !!

Learn more in a year in that shop than I'll get in lifetime of DIY at home.

Does he use Cornwell? I know basically every other show I've seen they use Gearwrench hand tools most of the time.

Pretty cool video. I love videos like that. Hard to believe all the steps that go into making one wrench or socket. Then people wonder why they're so expensive, but so worth it.

I have some sockets, 3 ratchets and some wrenches, tools are mostly pretty old designs but its all well made and strong. I would have more but its not readily available here.

Stacy David even did a show on the MAKING of Cornwell tools.
Apparently, they make their own tools here in the good ol' U.S. of A.!

Only a small portion of the Cornwell line is US made. Some ratchets, sockets, & wrenches. If you can get a copy of a cornwell price list only the items in bold print are made by them. Everything else is rebadged. Examples of foreign made items branded Cornwell include but, not limited to screwdrivers, hex/torx/triple square bit sockets, most of their pliers, non 30 tooth ratchets, and anything labeled blue power.
