Treated myself to a new spray gun, Tekna/Devilbiss Prolite....and because of that, my priming gun decided to **** itself yesterday. It was just a lower tier devilbiss so probably not worth trying to rebuild, not sure what will replace it yet.

Came with 2 air caps and 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 tips, digital gauge that was a surprise, and an adapter for disposable cups.

And something i dont see too often. Really good seeing some precision, English made goods. Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling!

Even came with a seemingly nice wrench, although no COO

I hope you have better luck than I did with that style, they're were a pain to get the teeth to grab. But mines a cheapo from the auto parts store.

I just got a set of a bunch of sizes. Honestly, 3 sizes have covered all my
personal vehicles and several friends/family members.

I hope you have good luck with this one as well. I went through a few cheap ones myself working at a dealer- bending jaws, locking them up, etc. I finally spent the $$ for a Blue-Point 3 jaw one about 10 years ago, and I haven't had a problem since.

I had the same experience with a cheap one. Personally, I either use the cup style that is sized for the filter or an old school band clamp style filter wrench. I've never used the oil filter pliers, I don't do enough oil changes to justify buying a pair.

You'd be surprised what you use the pliers for. PVC pipe for example.

I bet you would keep it if it was green.

Did you get it for a steal?

i didnt pay msrp but i didnt pay asking price either . I think i may put it on the bay and see if i can get a buy it now obo

That caliper is huge. How much did you give for it?

im hoping a price i dont loose on. I wish i had a use for it but i do not , maybe 30" but nothing i work on is that critical in tolerence.

The "trick" to these is that you have to use two hands to get it started; one on the ratchet and one on the three jaws holding them tight to the filter. Once started, it grips fine and works great.

I've never figured out why guys want so many screwdrivers.

They are cheap and handy and you really need a variety of lengths. Some things only long ones reach. Sometimes anything other than a stubby won't fit. Sometimes you need an in between size.

I personally have
1) micro Phillips, flats, Torx, sae/metric Allen
2) flats in tons of sizes and lengths
3) Phillips in tons of sizes and lengths
4) torx
5) Bondhus ball end Allens in sae and metric
6) nutdrivers in sae and metric
7) three lengths of bit drivers and two LARGE assortments of bits, several ordinary stuff and quite a bit of specialty/security bits.

I'm just a DIY guy but even I have used all of these. I can't say I've used all my sockets or wrenches though. Granted I'd say 80% of my needs could be served with a basic 8-10 piece set of common sizes, but that doesn't change the fact that I have used pretty much all of mine even as a DIY guy and I have quite a few on hand.

Wasn't always easy to get two hands up in the area. Especially working in the driveway.

I just find the specific sizes easier.

Those blades are pretty good. I've done many house demo's with them and they hold up well. Here is how they tested out... Not sure who did it tho.

Nothing to really write home about.

17mm 3/8 drive crowfoot. Not impressed by the lazer vs stamped logos. Bought specifically to do injector lines on 3000hp Detriot MTU Tier II

19" Bar for my Snappy 3/4 ratchet.

Mail came and some how found someone that had the 5 sizes i was missing , was weird but awesome that i have the set from 1/4"-1.5" and a 2"

The other two were from the truck, 48 0z db to complete the green set and the 36" striking prybar since it was on sale for 112. I have the biggest one 54", this 36", and the 4 piece set along with the straight angle demo bar.

Not that I don't have enough lights but i figured this is better for a pocket light than putting batteries in my coast hp4 every few days and it is way way brighter

Buy the set and get the big bar free. New style Mac striking prybars (made in USA). Love this new slimmer handle a lot more than the old style. Thinking about picking up another set.....

thanks! I did a bit of going back and forth with buying it since its just for my shop and maybe a little overkill for my needs, but I think painting is something I'd like to pursue a bit more and I've had enough fun fighting with the cheapies and wanted something I wouldn't grow out of right away. I also have a new primer gun on the way that will hopefully take care of priming and metal flake duties for the time being

I traded some work for this Apex disc grinder. It is a 16", 1-HP. I also got the rotary phase converter that was used for the grinder, and couple other 3 phase tools. Not sure I wan't to set it up, but if I did it would be with a VFD. Would be nice for dialing in mitre angles on tubing, sharpening, and who knows what else.

The pry bar set was $199 ($10 off list), plus the 42" bar for free ($155 list). So almost half off the entire deal.

Some Craftsman Professional stubbies and a Milwaukee fan.

How do you find the fan. I really want to get one. I only have one outlet in my garage and I'm getting sick of unplugging my fan everytime I need to use a power tool.

Sae and metric screwdrivers?

The Germans (Wiha/Hazet) don't make screwdrivers with 3/16-inch slotted tips, they make them with 5 mm tips, so, yes, you need metric screwdrivers. :bounce:

I have only had it for about two weeks, but I've sure used it. I took it to an outdoor swim meet; used it in the trunk of my car when I had to do some re-wiring; then used it in my foyer doing some electrical work that required the power to be off. I really like it!

That's nice right there! Good trade in my opinion.

Got this Dorian toolholder for my lathe, and a couple inserts. Should work nicely.
