Thanks guys, lots of nice stuff, but still don't see what I'm looking for. A center-finding ruler with 1/8" marks, no 16ths, 32ths, or metric.

I really like Generals stuff, I have some, great U.S.A. made at a good price.

Could you just take a sharpie/paint pen/whiteout pen to the numbers you want to ignore/highlight?

When I think of a center finding ruler I think of something like this:

A lot of the heads are interchangeable on some of the older ones but I don't know of anyone making a steel scale for these that only goes down to 1/8".

Yes I thought of that but it would be pretty tedious. Someone has gotta make one.

Here is a centerfinding ruler next to my favorite large ruler:

the lower ruler is much easier to read and quicker to use. All the accuracy I need for a lot of what I do.
