A month or so ago I ordered a set of Williams USA 3/8 SAE and metric sockets. Both sets ended up being back ordered. I got the SAE set a few weeks ago and the metric set arrived today. Both appear to have come directly from Williams. The funny part is that the SAE set has Williams printed straight across the socket while the metric set is in a more stylized curved print. I thought it was kind of interesting they would have two different printing styles. The printing on the metric set does look cooler!

I don't think the curved logo is new. I have wrenches and sockets that have been around at least 15-20 years, maybe longer.

Edit: I would be correct since that logo was introduced in 1924. http://alloy-artifacts.org/williams-supercompany.html#trademarks

Can't find anything on why they alternate logos though. It could be different factories use different logos to help differentiate.
