Been a while since I bought this 'Trusty Cook' stubby. It's been in full time service ever since, holding up well in one of the harshest environments in the game (Ain't no candy assed shop work)

Business end looks good.

Dropped a loaded D11T belly pan on it a few days ago and subsequently dragged the pan out with this under it. No adverse side effects.

Has not seen -20C or colder yet but its comming.

So: How's your TC? Post pics of it in the trenches.

I used my mini max the other day, I had a crane bend a 3/4" solid rod at 100' on a tower, it is now straight as far as the eye can tell. I love all my hammers, well except the red ones.

I just keep them where they can't interfere with the day to day process. I guess when I need them, I am happy to have them. I also bought matching red snap on adjustables to keep out in the excavator, that way I know they never belong in my shop or toolbox.

You have exiled your red tools to the excavator and don't allow them inside?:wtf::sad:

At least the ones that I can buy in green or blue.

I use all my trustycook hammers, the problem is, I have so many, it will take me years to wear one out. Of course the stubby flat flats seem to be my favorite.

I use all mine in a candy assed shop environment wailing away on sacks of feathers and cotton balls so they still look perfect!

Red clashes with my outfits.

Beware of the colour Red.

So I was using my Trusty to pound a turning pinion in on a QSK60 one night, struggling a little. The truck driver was talking about colours. Apparently Blue is a calming colour and red causes anxiety. Reason why more people jump off the 'Golden Gate' than anywhere else. That's why the hammer is holding up. When I grab it I just wanna do Yoga and chain myself to a tree :D

The guy is an Army Vet so I didn't argue.

Send me a Proto-Type Stubby 8Lb Metal Mini Max and I will give it a run for its money.

Always getting pulled up for carrying a cut down, 18" sledge.

The standard 'Show us your new tool' picture.

Back in March.

Funny thing is, I offered the Flat - Flat to my running partner at work and he turned it down. Rattled on about how he ALWAYS looses deadblows so it's hanging on my wall at home. I choose the ball peen for work as I use it more than you would think.

I use the flat flat more, not that I don't use the ball peen, it just doesn't get as much use as the smaller flat does. Those stubby hammers are the best, I have been hounding TC to make me a short soft face dead blow for a while. Hopefully they will offer them, you just can't get any better than these for confined spaces. I was under a car last week and it was on jack stands, could not get a swing (literally no room) with the regular handle, stubby to the rescue!

Yeah for sure. I only bought the stubbies because of space constraints. The short handle is easy to store in my small field box. Mm plus, as you say, good for confined spaces, the only masher that can get in and pound on starters in Kommy 475 & CAT D10/11's. The flat is my home shop thumper.

Just emailed them about two more hammers. 26oz BP and 50oz BPF. In blue of course, I don't wann mash my hand's up in a 'Red Rage'

So if you fancy grabbing them two from the collection and doing a photo shoot? Ide be looking plus the entire hammer loving membership here.

I've got a few tears in my BB from use but holding well otherwise. I knew when I was mid swing it was going to be bad, but such is the life of a hammer. Protected the paint on the machine. Still in much better shape than the discount dead.blow it replaced.

Since you're in Canada, how about a comparison between
Impact Poly Hammers and Trusty Cook?
I think TC may have more variety.

Most all of mine are in stasis in several tool box drawers. The ones I have used worked outstanding, of course.

As someone on another thread mentioned already, glow in the dark would be a must have, if for no other reason than the novelty of it. It would be a worlds first, wouldn't it? :)
