Got this last week for $40 with the bench it came on. The guy was actually listing the bench for $40 and secondarily describing it
that it came with a vise. So I took it off his hands:D

It is my understanding that the 1750 is the Tradesman vise and it is also a vise Snap On sells. I could not tell if it was originally a Wilton or a Snap On so I contacted Wilton for some labels requesting either Snap On or Wilton. They sent one of each:rocker:

Just finished assembly today and wouldn't ya know it the labels arrived today.

Before

After

Sitting on the bench it came on for $40

Thanks. Real happy with it. The bench has worked out well too. This is my second Wilton Bullet restore. Love these things. And Its an easy afternoon project that is easy to have success with.

I've got the same 1750. I bought it because it was the same vise that Snap On sold. Snap On, painted red, listed for $450 in the late 1980's. Painted Blue, with the Wilton sticker, it was $330 list. I paid $180 new.

Yes...I was cleaning it up on the wire wheel and got bit on the thumb being careless. No big deal, but I will finish the clean up of the handle when thats healed up...lol.

The paint is just regular Rustoleum rattle can. I believe the color was "gloss sage green"
Just wanted something different.

Wilton sent the S-O label too?

I emailed them and stated I had a 1750 that I was unsure whether it was originally badged as SO or Wilton and that I would like some SO badges if they had them. I said if they didn't have them Wilton badges would do fine. They sent the brown envelope you can see in one of the pictures at a cost of about $1.50 shipping. Arrived about one week later. Inside was one SO bade and one Wilton badge. I could not have asked for better service.
