How do you store your crowsfoot wrenches in your travel box?
They don't stay on the Ernst rails very well.
I've thought of a looped cable, like a key ring.

Basic same as the tool trucks sale. They have a ball where the cotter pins are. But with key stock you could make them a long as you need. Nice suggestion.

I like the SO holders because you don't have to pull all of the crows feet off to access the one you want. You just split the stack and leave everything else on both ends.

i use 2 sided socket rails i bought from lowes..

i have a bunch of those also. i find that they work really well, are inexpensive when compared to other brands, and being able to alternate sides of the rail allows for creative storage (like shallow on one side, and deep on the other, or 6pt and 12pt on opposite sides.) i even have a set of hex keys with 1/4" drive on one side, and 3/8 on the other, stacked so that overlapping sizes mostly line up across from each other. i find that very OCD pleasing.

i also like it that they are all black . . . .

I started with threaded rod, but laying them horizontally took up too much space. I recently switched to keystock and magnets. The keystock holds them nicely and the magnets lets me store them vertically without tipping over whenever the drawer is moved. I wrapped the magnets in electrical tape to help with the brittleness as well as to match my color coding (blue = metric, red = SAE).

The keystock holder looks nice, but does nothing for me for quick access. I may not be a pro mechanic but I didn't spend a lot of time organizing my box so I have to go through either side to get to the middle.

I use a standard rail and alternate sides, therefore there is enough room for the open end. Mine also live on pegboard hooks though.
