Hi all:
I'm about to remote mount my garage motion sensor for two barn lights. According to the first diagram below, the lights are wired in parallel with the sensor, that is, both lights are wired directly to the sensor. (switch>light/light) I don't want to do it that way, but rather, wire in series, such that I have switch>sensor>light>light.
This pic shows switch>light>sensor>light, and then "to next fixture." It also shows a 14/3 wire going from the first light to the sensor, which is messing me up a bit. At any rate, this diagram seems to imply that I can simply keep daisy chaining lights in series, as long as I don't exceed sensor wattage. But does the light before the sensor somehow mess that up? So, basically, I'm looking to wire, with standard 14/2 Romex, switch>sensor>light>light. Any problems?
